  • Gorgeous and secluded

"My husband, 1 year old, our dog, and myself spent four wonderful nights relaxing at this gorgeous property. It felt very secluded and totally private, yet it was 20 min to a grocery store - which is a plus if you have young kids. My favorite part of the stay was taking a bubble bath in the giant tub at sunset."

  • Perfect rural Vermont experience for the Summer!

"Our family spent 8 days/7 nights this July in the restored 1900 schoolhouse in Wolcott, VT. Although we have vacationed in VT numerous times over the past 15 years, we have primarily done so in the Burlington area and were looking for something a bit different. Being immersed in the rural beauty of Wolcott and slowing our pace to match the environment was exactly what we had hoped. The property itself was wonderful. The schoolhouse has a lot of character, (e.g., hardwood throughout, interior design with a local artisan-feel), with more than enough space for our family. The country kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bedroom with skylights were highlights of the interior that we specifically enjoyed. As lovely as the home itself was, the yard and mountain views were even better. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, running around the well-maintained yard, using the tree swing, and relaxing with a book on the porch or on the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The panoramic views of the mountains are really beyond description. Since the property is situated high on a mountain road, views down in the valley with the mountains as the backdrop were gorgeous, especially in the morning and at sunset. The only potential negative for those considering this rental is its general location. It was perfect for our family as we enjoyed hanging around the local Wolcott, Hardwick, and Morrisville area, as well as taking day trips to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, Burlington, and the NorthEast Kingdom, this won't be a good fit for those looking for an exciting 'nightlife' scene, etc. Finally, the property owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family. She was a perfect balance of being engaged during the reservation/rental process while also allowing us to enjoy her home/property on our own. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the schoolhouse, hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual tradition!"

  • Great!

"Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. John was very friendly and accommodating upon our check-in. The property was very inviting and had well more space than the pictures show. It had a stocked kitchen with plenty of items to prepare our meals. The fireplace is big and very nice to sit around - it was match-ready when we walked in. The views are to die for! Would stay here again without hesitation. The drive from town takes some patience as it is 5-6 miles up a dirt mountain road. Mud season can get a little tricky, but we had no issues. We highly recommend this property!"

  • We created memories in this home that will last us all a lifetime

"Perfect place to vacation at any time of the year. Extremely spacious, yet homey. The owners are very friendly as they communicated back and forth with us prior to our arrival. They even went as far as sending us emails throughout our stay to ensure that we were satisfied (as we were). The Killington area has plenty to do, but is a quiet scenic getaway at the same time."
