  • Quiet and cozy!

"Rented this house for 3 nights as a get away weekend for my parents wedding anniversary and it was just what we were looking for! A quiet secluded place for us to all relax and enjoy each other with the beautiful fall weather. We enjoyed walking around in Lancaster NH (less than 10 minute drive) and we had the opportunity to hike up to the tower in the Weeks State Park. we also spent time out on the lake in the kayaks and row boat. A very lovely weekend!!"

  • Perfect rural Vermont experience for the Summer!

"Our family spent 8 days/7 nights this July in the restored 1900 schoolhouse in Wolcott, VT. Although we have vacationed in VT numerous times over the past 15 years, we have primarily done so in the Burlington area and were looking for something a bit different. Being immersed in the rural beauty of Wolcott and slowing our pace to match the environment was exactly what we had hoped. The property itself was wonderful. The schoolhouse has a lot of character, (e.g., hardwood throughout, interior design with a local artisan-feel), with more than enough space for our family. The country kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bedroom with skylights were highlights of the interior that we specifically enjoyed. As lovely as the home itself was, the yard and mountain views were even better. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, running around the well-maintained yard, using the tree swing, and relaxing with a book on the porch or on the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The panoramic views of the mountains are really beyond description. Since the property is situated high on a mountain road, views down in the valley with the mountains as the backdrop were gorgeous, especially in the morning and at sunset. The only potential negative for those considering this rental is its general location. It was perfect for our family as we enjoyed hanging around the local Wolcott, Hardwick, and Morrisville area, as well as taking day trips to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, Burlington, and the NorthEast Kingdom, this won't be a good fit for those looking for an exciting 'nightlife' scene, etc. Finally, the property owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family. She was a perfect balance of being engaged during the reservation/rental process while also allowing us to enjoy her home/property on our own. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the schoolhouse, hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual tradition!"

  • Great Getaway for a Large Family

"This was a great place for our family of 8 adults to participate in a long weekend birthday celebration. The house was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed. The expanse of sliders and windows throughout framed the foliage surrounding the house. It felt as if one was in a treehouse! The location was a short distance from I 91 and the street was lovely, abutting the Quichee Club golf course. We had a few questions when we arrived and Tamara immediately answered our call and quickly sorted out our issue. The week prior to our stay she texted us additional useful information and recommendations of restaurants and activities which were very helpful. Nearby Woodstock was a great place to explore as was the trail along Quichee Gorge. We were also pleased that we were allowed to take our dog with us for an additional refundable fee. Everyone left on their way home to Boston, New York and CT rested and happy after a super time spent in beautiful Vermont!"
