  • Idyllic Stowe Getaway

"Paige and Craig's "Hundred Acre Wood" carriage house is a perfect place for a couple or small family! Bright, cozy and warm, with lovely furnishings, the apartment has beautiful views and is convenient to town and the slopes. Paige and Craig were wonderful to deal with in all respects. We'll certainly be back!"

  • We had a great time!!

"This was our first "Home Away" experience and it was just great! The entire process was made easy by Home Away and the property owner. The property and house exceeded our expectations. The house is clean, accommodating and well maintained. Photographs don't do justice to the yard, pond, house and panoramic mountain views. Our granddaughters loved canoeing and chasing frogs in the pond. Daily visitors to the yard included herons, ducks, deer and turkeys. The house is conveniently located just a mile from the village of Morrisville, convenient shopping, Lake Elmore State Park and just a short ride to Stowe and Waterbury attractions. Lake Elmore State Park is just 3.5 miles away and provides beautiful scenery and very affordable canoe and kayak rentals. Not a bad meal the entire week. We particularly enjoyed The Whip and Idle Time restaurants in Stowe and Avard's in Waterbury. I would highly recommend a week or more at this property."

  • Wonderful, warm and welcoming vacation home!

"4 couples had a wonderful stay at this very accommodating ski house. We only needed to bring our personal gear. All the amenities awaited us including a TV in every BR as well as TVs in the upstairs living room and downstairs family room. We all had our private ensuite BRs which, for our age group, was very appreciated. The deck had a grill and seating for at least a dozen. There were games, books, movies to provide entertainment for the rare "downtime" as the location lends itself to biking, hiking, and easy access to downtown. We were impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. In fact, I would say the pictures and discription don't do the property justice. Summertime is great at this location and we imagine this setting must be beautiful when blanketed in snow. We were so comfortable and felt "at home" immediately. Dinner at Harrison's was delicious as was our Italian feast at Junior's. The biking trail (very nearby) is one of the prettiest we've experienced. Thank you, Rich, your ski house is a gem."
