  • Another girls weekend in Vermont!

"This is the second time renting Joelle's house in Vermont and it didn't disappoint. My sisters, my mom and I had a wonderful time. We kayaked, had s'mores at night by the fire pit, and even got to see two bald eagles that frequently visit the lake daily. Got some great videos of them and the full moon we had the last night we were there was just breath taking glowing off the lake. We love the deck on this property because it is so spacious and the house is always clean. Thanks again Joelle for some great family memories! Mary Spencer"

  • Charming, well-equipped cabin in a scenic and peaceful corner of Vermont

"My husband and I stayed for six days in mid-August in Ron's and Dottie's idyllic cabin on a hill. We enjoyed it very much. The cabin, while simple, is provided with everything one needs, in abundance. It was spotlessly clean and everything was in excellent condition. Facing west, allowing for beautiful afternoons and sunsets, the cabin has many windows, all with screens and shades, so it can be as light and breezy as one wishes inside. Outside there is a huge deck with Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. This was our favorite part... the sunsets were staggering, but we even enjoyed a summer storm. The area is lovely, with fields and woods, near the small and friendly village of Belmont (or Mechanicsville until it was renamed in the early 20th century); and the cabin is set well back from a little-traveled road. It is deliciously quiet. A thick folder put together by Ron and Dottie has tons of information on the area, including menus and maps, and suggestions of pertinent websites to follow up on. Ron was extremely friendly and helpful. He was on call for any questions, easy to contact, and very nice!, going out of his way, for example, to help us find a hike on our last day, and answering all questions (including a couple of unnecessary ones due to not having read the folder) with cheerful patience. He and Dottie gave us delicious large summer squash from their garden. All in all we felt most welcome in a relaxed atmosphere, while at the same time enjoying total privacy. We hope to return. Highly recommended!"

  • Amazing weekend

"We had such a blast at this house in VT. It's great for having a good group of people get together for the weekend. And, as the name suggests, summer in VT is fantastic. We had no problems with the house, it was very clean and as described. Cndy was very attentive whenever I had a question. We enjoyed the porch with it's railings colorfully lit at night. The sky was amazing. We also made good use of the bumper pool and foosball table downstairs. So much fun for such a low cost! Thank you Cndy!"

"This log cabin was the perfect choice for our vacation on Lake Rescue! The house is incredibly charming , very clean, and very well appointed with all your needs while you stay. We cooked at the house multiple nights and high end quality equipment was available. We also greatly appreciated the use of the kayaks and row boat for our family - it made the beautiful lake exceptionally fun for our kids! Being located on the point made for a very private experience among all the other houses surrounding the lake. We also enjoyed the activities of the surrounding area on Mt Okemo and the nearby restaurants. The ropes courses were a huge hit as well as Bellow Falls! Both are a MUST!"
