  • A lovely retreat!

"Such a wonderful cottage in a beautiful spot in Vermont! I spent a long weekend combining a bit of work with some downtime. The cottage is fully equipped and very comfortable with a stunning view of Star Lake and evening sunsets. I even spotted a female moose from the deck one day. I would highly recommend a stay here!"

  • Our favorite Someway rental yet!

"My husband and I stayed a week recently and wished we could have stayed longer! Millrace House, nestled along the Black River, is just adorable and the owners very accommodating. I am pretty sure they ordered the picture-perfect weather for us too! We grilled several nights just so we could be at the house, but we did have breakfast at Martha's Diner right around the corner one morning. There are two double beds upstairs - the original stairs! - and one twin downstairs, with two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and there's even a washer and dryer. I loved all the old look that was really new, and all the unique details. Lots of storage and the place felt very large. It was clearly our favorite rental from HOMEWAY thus far. Jean told us about a walking loop, so each morning we walked 2.5 hilly miles through a covered bridge and along some picturesque back roads. We love that there is less people and life there seems unhurried - the perfect vacation. The house is centrally located to all activities - and there is much to do in the Northeast Kingdom in the Fall - we took the Sunday International Brunch Cruise on Lake Memphremagog, only minutes away in Newport, kayaked the Clyde River, hiked Mt. Pisgah, saw 17 covered bridges, took an ATV tour in Danville, saw a recent movie for $4/person in St. Johnsbury, and a parade and craft fair in East Burke. We did much traveling by car but the scenery is so pretty and there is no traffic so it is a pleasure. On the way home we stopped at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier for lunch - amazing! And don't forget to try a maple cremee!"

  • Our stay at Jay Peak

"My wife and I rented a two bedroom condo to attend the Porsche Parade this June. We arrived on a Sunday, and the condo was in immaculate condition. The owners had even left some beer for us in the refrigerator, which was greatly appreciated on a warm day. The condo is centrally located and in great shape. The owners were easy to work with and were in touch with us constantly. I would recommend this condo and its owners without reservation. If I come up to ski at Jay Peak, I will certainly see if this is available. We also enjoyed the dining at Jay Peak and the surrounding area, as well as the golf course, which was in excellent shape."

  • Amazing House

"I rented this house this past weekend, July 15-18, and couldn't have had a better experience. I had a bachelor party group of 18, and this house had more than enough space and sleeping room to fit us all comfortably. The yard is perfect for BBQ and outdoor lawn games. We went white water rafting 45 minutes away in Charlemont and Cliff Jumping 30 minutes away in Halifax. I would highly recommend this place. Bernie, the owner, is very easy to deal with and a very nice man. Had a great time."
