  • Absolutely perfect vacation home!

"Our family of seven spent four nights at this lovely vacation home and our only complaint was it wasn't enough time to enjoy everything it had to offer! Our 82 year old Dad loved relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. The grandkids (ages 7 & 9) had a blast fishing and the nearby beach and clubhouse entertained them for hours. At night we marveled at the stars and lightning bugs and after sleeping soundly we all woke up to the peaceful sounds of birds. Everyone had plenty of space and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed to make meals and snacks. (Stock up at the Shaw's in Littleton, NH) On the one day it rained we all played board games and the kids found Calvin & Hobbes books in the children's room so everyone was relaxed and cozy. Liz was a wonderful host in answering emails prior to our visit and available to answer questions via phone. When it was time to leave the entire family only needed to ask her one question, "is it too early to book for next year?""

  • Wonderful quaint house with lots of character

"Our stay at the Tuck-er Inn was as close to perfect as you could want. It was everything that we were looking for. The house is not new, but it is impeccably maintained with wonderful attention to detail... and has great character. It has all the amenities that we were looking for: lovely in-ground pool with a (blue?)stone deck, deck chairs and table surrounded by apple trees and lush landscaping; brand new (large and awesome) hot tub outside in another small deck; Sauna inside by the rec room; large deck behind the dining room with a grill and fire pit available to spend glorious evenings by the fire under the stars. We love fireplaces and the house has two: one in the dining room and one in the living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils, dishes, cutlery, etc. that we would need. My wife loved the center island for cooking. The house had lots of space for our group of 7, with lots of options to relax and unwind. The property is serene and secluded with majestic, tall trees surrounding the property... but yet just moments away from all of the cool places and things that the area has to offer. It's a great location within 5 minutes of Warren Village, Sugarbush and Waitsfield Village. The owner - Tom - was extremely helpful. He first notified us a couple of weeks before our stay that there was a problem with the pool and that it might not be available during our stay. When I made him aware of how important it was for our group to have a pool, he went out of his way and was able to get the pool repaired in time so that when we got there, it was ready to go. There are too many great things to mention about the Tuck-er Inn in this small space. All-in-all, we couldn't recommend this beautiful country home more highly. It's picturesque and quaint but with all of the amenities that you could want. Thank you Tom and Beth. My family will have fond memories of this vacation. Luis"

  • Very happy experience!

"My family and I were there from Aug 18-21. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable time! The water does have sulfur but just being your own drinking water. It's extremely peaceful and near Alburg Dunes State Pk."

  • A wonderful escape!

"The below review (Peter from Toronto) pretty much says it all. For our small family (one 10 yr old son) this place was a perfect way of letting our son taste a small sample of life during simpler times. Loved the wavy historically correct panel glass windows, the wide plank original floors (slightly unlevel adding to ambiance), and the beautifully restored cast iron oven/stove. The small TV got PBS only which was great for us, but not much of a draw for our son -- perfect!! We found ourselves putting away the electronics and playing board games at night. Woke early in the morning and fried eggs/pancakes on the old gas stove that you light with a match. Don't get me wrong, most modern conveniences are there: wifi, plenty of heat, hot shower, etc.. And if you need anything more, just knock on the adjacent door and the owner is eager to assist. The only minor misses that would preclude us from returning with additional family and friends were the lack of a second bathroom ... and maybe a dishwasher. It was, however, perfect for our small family and we plan to return whenever we visit this region to ski Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Also, don't miss the nearby outdoor public ice skating rink that our son absolutely loved. ~Brian & Kristeen"
