Quaint, Cozy, Craftsman Lux Barn

5 of 5
We had the opportunity to stay in this gorgeous barn this past February; we were 4 adults enjoying a ski, snowmobiling, brewery, spa weekend away. Located a few miles from the town of Woodstock, in South Woodstock, the property is found in a historic district which is just the most picturesque! There is a general store about 50 yards from the house for basic food items, local arts/crafts for purchase, or delicious breakfast sandwiches. The barn is craftsman style, constructed with many windows which allows you to take in the serene mountain/river view behind (very private). With two twin beds in one room, a queen in the other, a large bathroom with one tub, two sinks, large living/kitchen area, we had plenty of space and were very comfortable during our stay. The kitchen was updated and fully equipped for cooking in. We loved the whole experience and hope to return this coming ski season. We are all very thankful to the gracious owners as well who were especially helpful during out stay! Our Activities if looking for ideas: -Killington Mt/Pico Mt for Ski - approx 30 min drive from property -Snowmobiling - www.snowmobilevermont.com - 2 hr back country tour was just the right amount of time. Highly recommended for seeing VT from a different perspective. -Brewery - Long Trail - after snowmobiling/skiing enjoy cold beer by the fire pit along the river they have out back. -Dining - Worthy Kitchen - Casual Lunch spot, you order at counter and bring to table. One of my favorite meals, comfort food prepared for the foodie. Great selection of beers on tap. -Spa - Woodstock Inn - After a weekend of activities treat yourself with a trip to their spa....services, relaxation area w/outdoor hottub and sauna. *Note taxi services/ubers are limited in this area and are pricy. I'd plan ahead.
