  • Summer in Stockbridge, Vermont

"Our stay in Stockbridge went well. The house is nice, but a little quirky. It has plenty of space for entertaining. There are numerous places to sleep. The quirkiness lies in the 2 spiral staircases to 2 of the bedrooms, one of which has regular stairs also. There is not much privacy and the headroom is low in spots. The location was good for us, and the house was clean Overall, a good vacation house."

  • Wonderful, clean home that can fit 10 adults comfortably

"The property was great! My group of 10 adults (3 couples and 4 singles) fit in the home comfortably. We had the bottom level of the duplex. I originally had concerns about sharing a property with up to ten other people that we didn't know, but it was never an issue and I'm sure that the tenant requirements that the owners set forth are a big reason why. The house was very warm and well insulated and the fire place provided ample heating. The bunk beds are "adult sized" and even the biggest of my group (6'4", 230lbs) fit in the bunk comfortably. We even had a couple sleep in one of the bunks when the resident snorer was kicked out of the bunk room to the sofa bed. One point of caution with the property, and it is mentioned in the listing, is that it is located up a fairly long hill, parts of which can be a little steep. I would recommend all wheel drive if staying here, or at least good tires. Overall, an excellent place with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. To top it off, Lori was very responsive and provided timely and useful feedback throughout."

  • Cozy, comfortable, relaxing retreat

"Stayed here for 2 nights on a little mini vacation to get away from the city. So nice. My only wish was that the pool and hot tub were open (it was under construction). Otherwise it provided the perfect venue for us to get away during the summer to the mountains! So great to literally walk out the door and be able to walk over to explore Killington Peak"

  • Amazing home with incredible hosts!

"Mike and Victoria’s home, elegantly perched in the Vermont Mountains, looked as if it were straight out of a “Home” magazine- one that someone would reference to learn how to redesign a house that perfectly fuses functionality with beauty. If the first drive into the garage were to be of any indication, the fully stocked piles of firewood stood out as one detail of the care that Mike and Victoria had put into making us guests feel welcome and at home. Walking in after our long drive from New York, we were greeted by homemade brownies, a bottle of wine and a welcome card- letting us know that they were pleased to share their home and all of its amenities with us. This welcome card included detailed instructions of how we could figure out the functionalities of the “large-enough-for-all-of-us” hot tub and the “perfect-after-a-cold-day” sauna. Although both looked tempting that first night, we were all exhausted and ready to unpack and settle in. There was more than enough room in the kitchen for us to unload our boxes of fresh food (and the requisite marshmallows for our eventual fireside treat) and with the first (of many) fires warming us from the somehow spacious yet cozy living room, we sat down for our first dinner under the candelabra (with magical candles that evaporated rather than melt!) Sometimes, people put so much effort into the aesthetics of houses, that they forget the agreeability factor, and what makes that house a home. This was not the case with Mike and Victoria. The beautiful bedrooms were as comfortable as they were visually appealing. The multiple beds, all with inviting linen, mattresses, and fluffed pillows, were the perfect way to rest up for the next day of hitting the slopes. Hit the slopes we did, and when we came back weary and weathered, the hot tub and sauna were finally put to their intended use. After spending an hour or so de-thawing in the hot water, we ate warm soup and spent the next bit of time bringing out our competitive spirits with rounds of pool, ping-pong, and air-hockey in the downstairs game-room. These routines continued throughout the weekend; the perfect blend of new activities coupled with the simple pleasure of being in a home (unlike a stale or severe hotel experience) made this Vermont experience at Mike and Victoria’s absolutely irreplaceable. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us! We are all eagerly looking forward to doing it again."
