  • Labor Day weekend hiking & relaxing!

"My family (husband, 2 yr old, and our dog) and our friends (who also have a 2 yr old) shared this home last weekend. We found the home to be comfortable and well-equipped; there was lots of room to spread out in the kitchen/dining/living room area plus the screened-in porch. Our first night there, we cooked a great dinner on the gas grill. The kids & our dog enjoyed exploring the spacious yard, and it was only a 5 minute walk to town to the glass shop and grocery store. The adjacent town road, located a few minutes' walk behind the home, was an attraction in itself for us (our boys loved walking amongst the tractors & construction equipment parked back there!) The home's close proximity to Jamaica State Park (5 minutes away) allowed us to go hiking on some beautiful trails and still get home in time for our little ones to take naps in the afternoon. The last night, on our way to the craft beer store & Honeypie, we stopped along Rt.30 to watch a moose grazing on the side of the road. Our stay was fun and relaxing. Valery was very responsive and quickly addressed our needs - we appreciated that very much!"

  • Perfect reunion house!

"We used this property for a reunion/26th birthday weekend with 18 friends from high school. It could not have been more perfect. Plenty of beds, perfect location, and it was so cozy that we stayed in the house every night! John is amazing in helping you coordinate details, suggestions for food and activities, he was accessible the whole time we were there and weeks leading up the trip. I hope we will return again next year!"

  • Incredibly Peaceful

"We stayed at this house the last week of July and had a wonderful time. The house is stunningly beautiful, and the river running behind the house provides the most relaxing sound as you fall asleep. Everything you need is in the house, beds are very comfortable, there is a double oven for cooking and plenty of space at the table for the whole gang! Be aware there is no AC and the week we were there it got pretty warm. The house was very clean and well maintained. In winter I am sure the area is bustling, but in the summer there is not much close by. The local grocer is a very small store that has everything but at very high prices. Recommend shopping in Londonderry, it is much more reasonable. Definitely consider this house, I would recommend it without hesitation!"

  • Wonderful house

"This was our first homeaway vacation, as we travel quite a bit, typically staying at 4/5 star hotels and resorts. I was quite nervous if the house would match up to its description and it did. The house was perfect for our large group - two families with 8 teenagers. We stayed for 5 days and had a great New Years Eve at the house. The pool table, foosball and ping pong kept the kids busy, especially since the ski conditions were awful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. There is also a hot tub outside, which the kids enjoyed after skiing. The house is literally down to the street from the base of the mountain with shuttle service running until 5pm. The owner Jim responded quickly to any questions and issues. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again."
