  • Amazing Views

"I want to thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had an amazing, relaxing week. The air was clear, the sun warm, the sky a brilliant blue and the mountains all shades of blue and green. We hiked Mount Abe, Burnt Rock, Camel's Hump and Mansfield. We relaxed at Blueberry Lake and ate some amazing meals. Plus a few creamees! It was magic. Your home is magic too. Your photos do not do justice to your home but what really amazed us were the gorgeous double mountain views. Your home was just wonderful for a family get-together. We enjoyed several great meals together, gathering in the kitchen and on the deck."

  • A wonderful escape!

"The below review (Peter from Toronto) pretty much says it all. For our small family (one 10 yr old son) this place was a perfect way of letting our son taste a small sample of life during simpler times. Loved the wavy historically correct panel glass windows, the wide plank original floors (slightly unlevel adding to ambiance), and the beautifully restored cast iron oven/stove. The small TV got PBS only which was great for us, but not much of a draw for our son -- perfect!! We found ourselves putting away the electronics and playing board games at night. Woke early in the morning and fried eggs/pancakes on the old gas stove that you light with a match. Don't get me wrong, most modern conveniences are there: wifi, plenty of heat, hot shower, etc.. And if you need anything more, just knock on the adjacent door and the owner is eager to assist. The only minor misses that would preclude us from returning with additional family and friends were the lack of a second bathroom ... and maybe a dishwasher. It was, however, perfect for our small family and we plan to return whenever we visit this region to ski Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Also, don't miss the nearby outdoor public ice skating rink that our son absolutely loved. ~Brian & Kristeen"

  • Great!

"Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. John was very friendly and accommodating upon our check-in. The property was very inviting and had well more space than the pictures show. It had a stocked kitchen with plenty of items to prepare our meals. The fireplace is big and very nice to sit around - it was match-ready when we walked in. The views are to die for! Would stay here again without hesitation. The drive from town takes some patience as it is 5-6 miles up a dirt mountain road. Mud season can get a little tricky, but we had no issues. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Beautiful private getaway in a wonderful area!

"My boyfriend, two dogs and I stayed here in late August. We were looking for a quiet, private well-kept place near sugarbush. This house met our expectations times 1000! It is beautiful, private, clean, well-stocked and well-maintained. The decor is beautiful too. Mark was very quick to reply to our small questions when we first arrived too. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area."
