  • Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views.

"We loved this place! Exactly as advertised and a comfortable family get away. Great swimming pond that the kids and the dog thoroughly enjoyed. It was so wonderful to sit on the deck or lawn chairs and just gaze out at the view of the pond and the surrounding mountains and watch the gliders go by. Absolutely perfect! The house was fully equipped with the necessary items and Sandy was quick to respond to any questions. The log home was also close to shopping in Morrisville and not too far from Stowe. We definitely would stay here again the next time we visit Vermont."

  • Great house with everything you need and more!

"I have never stayed in a place that felt more like home! Many thanks to Don who was ready to help with any questions we had. We stayed here as a family of 5 and were very happy with our choice. The best thing for us was a supermarket right outside the complex and that the kitchen had everything you can wish for and more! All the dishes are very good quality and look beautiful if you want to have a nice family dinner. The living area with the armchairs and the fireplace is another gem, I could spend there days without leaving the house..and the view of the river! The only not so perfect thing that I can say is that the floors on the main level and the chairs are making squeeky noises. It didn't matter that much for us, but felt a little odd."

  • The perfect place to stay.

"We had a very good experience staying at this cabin. It's very clean, cozie, peaceful, and excellent scenery. I personally didn't want to leave the cabin, felt like my new home. I plan on staying there again on my next visit to Vermont."

  • Perfect rural Vermont experience for the Summer!

"Our family spent 8 days/7 nights this July in the restored 1900 schoolhouse in Wolcott, VT. Although we have vacationed in VT numerous times over the past 15 years, we have primarily done so in the Burlington area and were looking for something a bit different. Being immersed in the rural beauty of Wolcott and slowing our pace to match the environment was exactly what we had hoped. The property itself was wonderful. The schoolhouse has a lot of character, (e.g., hardwood throughout, interior design with a local artisan-feel), with more than enough space for our family. The country kitchen, breakfast nook, and master bedroom with skylights were highlights of the interior that we specifically enjoyed. As lovely as the home itself was, the yard and mountain views were even better. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, running around the well-maintained yard, using the tree swing, and relaxing with a book on the porch or on the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The panoramic views of the mountains are really beyond description. Since the property is situated high on a mountain road, views down in the valley with the mountains as the backdrop were gorgeous, especially in the morning and at sunset. The only potential negative for those considering this rental is its general location. It was perfect for our family as we enjoyed hanging around the local Wolcott, Hardwick, and Morrisville area, as well as taking day trips to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, Burlington, and the NorthEast Kingdom, this won't be a good fit for those looking for an exciting 'nightlife' scene, etc. Finally, the property owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family. She was a perfect balance of being engaged during the reservation/rental process while also allowing us to enjoy her home/property on our own. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the schoolhouse, hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual tradition!"
