  • Wonderful property in a great location!

"We had a great week-long stay here. The setting in the woods was great, the kids had tons of fun swimming and boating in the pond and exploring the woods, and the cabin itself was nice and large enough for our family of 4. Clean and well-maintained, and the owners were available to answer questions and assist with anything we needed very quickly. The location was also terrific; a few minutes from Stowe, a few more from Waterbury (ideal for craft beer fans like myself). The only surprise we had was that the cabin itself was quite dark on the inside, even during the day (a result of being nestled in the woods); not a real problem though - the gas lights worked well and there were plenty of candles. Overall a great place I'd recommend to anyone who thinks they can do without power/plumbing for a bit :)"

  • Location, Location, Location

"When you approach from the road you'll see a house on top of a hill ... and yes that's it! It is comfortable, spacious, well equipped, with large panoramic windows that afford grand views of the Green Mountains and Vermont's ever changing skies. It borders conservation land; you can go hiking right out the front door. Go down the half mile driveway and across the road is your private Caspian Lake dock with canoe. If you are looking for the latest in 21st century amenities and entertainment, this may not be for you (but it has a phone and Internet and you can stream anything you want). But if you are looking for comfort in solitude surrounded by the outdoors, you can hardly do better. And for rainy days the house has more books than some libraries, including children's books."

  • Very comfortable

"The location was great, so close to the town and the mountain. The house was very clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the big property running around. She has everything there like balls for kids to play outside, board games, DVDs, selection of shampoos, conditioners, and body soaps in both bathrooms, spices to use for cooking, and all. Beds were very nice. Two family with four adult and three kids all enjoyed the stay. Only things I wished were a hot tub and a fire place to be there and more snow, but I knew they weren't there to begin with. It is great place for families to stay."

  • Lovely, quiet home

"We loved our stay at Feeney Hollow. The location was perfect for us - quiet and secluded from it all, with a beautiful "babbling brook" behind the house. The only tricky part was getting there during "a mud"! But our 4-wheel drive got us through. It really is a lovely home and we look forward to being back there as soon as we can!"
