  • A perfect ski weekend

"This was the first time that I used home away and wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and how smoothly the plans went. The condo is amazing! I just about skied to the front door at the end of the day. The condo is very well equipped with anything you might need and very comfortable. Amazing location and very hospitable owner! I can't wait to return!!"

  • Lake Life Respite

"My husband, 3 year old daughter, dog and I stayed a week in early October and it could not have been more perfect. The house itself had options to keep a 3 year old contained (they had a stair gate waiting for us). The lake entry site is of shallow depth, which made us feel safe with our daughter playing in and around the lake (she especially liked building sand castles on the shore). The water was clear and we enjoyed paddling with the canoe and kayak on the property - we brought our own lifejackets, but there were one available. It is a house with afternoon sun, which was perfect to warm us up from a few chilly October fall days. The location was an easy drive to Middlebury, but most of all, 1 mi down the road was the trail head for Lana Falls, Rattlesnake Cliffs and Mt Moosalamoo; which offered an easy hike for the kid and some very challenging trail runs for my husband and I. We had a few questions during the week and Melissa answered them promptly, even going above and beyond in the check-out process. Would definitely consider this rental again."

  • What a view!

"My husband and I along with a group of friends stayed at this property just for a little summer getaway, and had an excellent time. If you think the view of the mountains from the deck is pretty in picture, you just have to see it in person - it's breathtaking. The house itself is very spacious and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had just about every dish, bowl, cooking utensil, pot and pan you could need. We cooked quite a few meals while we were there which was nice. The town itself is about a mile or so from the house and is small, quiet and cute but has a supermarket for whatever you may need, a few restaurants, stores, etc. I highly recommend the Waitsfield Farmers Market if you're around on a Saturday, there are so many wonderful vendors there. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Working with the owners to book the property was a breeze and we had plenty of contact info if we needed them (though we didn't, everything went great!)."

  • Perfect!

"This cabin was everything my family and I hoped for! Rustic, clean, beautiful, and peaceful are the best words to describe it. We loved the local hiking trails and the tiny towns in the area. It was within an hour to some of our favorite destinations: waterfalls, the Timber Ripper coaster at Okemo resort, the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Hogback mountain. The cabin itself offered all the comforts of home. It was love at first sight, really!"
