  • Great Location!

"This Stowe condo is ideal for a family or group that is looking for spacious accommodations. Located on a side street in the heart of town, the end-unit condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Julie was prompt with inquiries and responded to all questions we had. Stowe is an ideal location for a summer getaway, affording us many adventures including hiking opportunities, exploration of local "must dos" such as Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and Tour as well as the Trapp Family Lodge. Our family took a ferry across Lake Champlain and enjoyed a day at AuSable Chasm in N.Y. Church Street in Burlington was a fun evening; fulfilling our shopping "needs." Great getaway! Thanks to Julie and Rich for sharing their condo with us. :) Would definitely recommend."

  • Fabulous Labor Day Vacation

"We are on the way home from a long weekend at this property, and I'm already wondering when we can come back! This home is beautiful, spacious, clean and very well appointed! The beds are comfy, the pool is amazing, and the out door shower is ridiculous!! We were 6 adults and six kids and had plenty of room to spread out, or get back together for a meal in the giant kitchen or outdoor porch. The only things that would make this trip better would be wi-fi (kids were a little wound up that they could not connect), and more hand towels/wash cloths. Otherwise the place was decked out-from a Bose system, to a Kitchen Aid mixer, to cupcake tins and an electric griddle! The views were gorgeous, and the quiet time was heavenly. Tom-Thanks so much for opening your home and allowing us a weekend full of fun, laughs, and memories! We home to come back again soon!!"

  • Location, Location, Location

"When you approach from the road you'll see a house on top of a hill ... and yes that's it! It is comfortable, spacious, well equipped, with large panoramic windows that afford grand views of the Green Mountains and Vermont's ever changing skies. It borders conservation land; you can go hiking right out the front door. Go down the half mile driveway and across the road is your private Caspian Lake dock with canoe. If you are looking for the latest in 21st century amenities and entertainment, this may not be for you (but it has a phone and Internet and you can stream anything you want). But if you are looking for comfort in solitude surrounded by the outdoors, you can hardly do better. And for rainy days the house has more books than some libraries, including children's books."

  • We had a great time!!

"This was our first "Home Away" experience and it was just great! The entire process was made easy by Home Away and the property owner. The property and house exceeded our expectations. The house is clean, accommodating and well maintained. Photographs don't do justice to the yard, pond, house and panoramic mountain views. Our granddaughters loved canoeing and chasing frogs in the pond. Daily visitors to the yard included herons, ducks, deer and turkeys. The house is conveniently located just a mile from the village of Morrisville, convenient shopping, Lake Elmore State Park and just a short ride to Stowe and Waterbury attractions. Lake Elmore State Park is just 3.5 miles away and provides beautiful scenery and very affordable canoe and kayak rentals. Not a bad meal the entire week. We particularly enjoyed The Whip and Idle Time restaurants in Stowe and Avard's in Waterbury. I would highly recommend a week or more at this property."
