  • A very welcoming home

"This was THE best place to stay in the gorgeous Mt. Snow area! The house is roomy, homey, comfortable, and located smack dab in the middle of all the fun things you can do in any season. Hiking, biking, skiing, even horseback riding. Nice restaurants nearby, too, along with every convenience. There are lots of things to do inside the house, too, in case the weather puts the kibosh on your outdoor activities. The landlord is extremely accommodating, generous, and truly interested in helping you enjoy your stay - and you will!"

  • Family Birthday

"Very nice house! Easily accommodated eight of us for five days. Situated on a hill with great views. Two outdoor porches, one screened in. Very quiet and peaceful. We were here for a 90th birthday that we were celebrating at my brothers place in Norwich. Easy 20 minute drive. House is located just a very short drive from Quechee's Simon Pearce, and an easy drive to Woodstock. Owner was easy to communicate with. Would definitely rent this house again!"

  • Great location! had a nice time.

"Let's start with the owner. He was very accommodating and worked with us on dates and check in times. We brought our dog which was a huge plus. There were a few things that would have made the trip a little more comfortable. There was nothing to carry the wood in. It was very difficult for us to bring wood back to the condo using only our arms. It would have been nice if there was one of those canvas wood carriers we could use. The coffee pot was filthy! It was so bad that the coffee tasted gross!! I had to clean it myself which took 24 hours to let it soak with hot soapy water and then scrubbed it a couple times. It did help a lot. The dish washer was SO loud that I couldn't stand it and had to stop the cycle. The condo could use some updating. One other thing we had a problem with was the door to get in. It was horrible to open you have to do it just right for it to open... I didn't think I was going to get in... it was that hard to open. It was little things that could have been better. Like it would have been nice if there was wood already in the condo waiting for us. All in all we did enjoy our stay but attention to detail could have been better and I don't blame the owner for that I believe it's the "professional" cleaning people or the ones who take care of the condo while the owner is not there."

  • Wonderful quaint house with lots of character

"Our stay at the Tuck-er Inn was as close to perfect as you could want. It was everything that we were looking for. The house is not new, but it is impeccably maintained with wonderful attention to detail... and has great character. It has all the amenities that we were looking for: lovely in-ground pool with a (blue?)stone deck, deck chairs and table surrounded by apple trees and lush landscaping; brand new (large and awesome) hot tub outside in another small deck; Sauna inside by the rec room; large deck behind the dining room with a grill and fire pit available to spend glorious evenings by the fire under the stars. We love fireplaces and the house has two: one in the dining room and one in the living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils, dishes, cutlery, etc. that we would need. My wife loved the center island for cooking. The house had lots of space for our group of 7, with lots of options to relax and unwind. The property is serene and secluded with majestic, tall trees surrounding the property... but yet just moments away from all of the cool places and things that the area has to offer. It's a great location within 5 minutes of Warren Village, Sugarbush and Waitsfield Village. The owner - Tom - was extremely helpful. He first notified us a couple of weeks before our stay that there was a problem with the pool and that it might not be available during our stay. When I made him aware of how important it was for our group to have a pool, he went out of his way and was able to get the pool repaired in time so that when we got there, it was ready to go. There are too many great things to mention about the Tuck-er Inn in this small space. All-in-all, we couldn't recommend this beautiful country home more highly. It's picturesque and quaint but with all of the amenities that you could want. Thank you Tom and Beth. My family will have fond memories of this vacation. Luis"
