  • Idyllic Retreat

"This is the kind of place that makes you want to keep coming back. It is the perfect spot to explore the area around this part of Lake Champlain near Vergennes, with the incredible Shelburne Museum and even Burlington not far. But the best part is that after exploring, or kayaking down Otter Creek, you can come back to this wonderful setting: a well-appointed farmhouse with ample fields for kids and dogs to play, seated on a gentle sloping yard leading down to the river. Watching the mist on the water in the morning from the back porch, hearing big fish jump, and taking a turn in the swing under the apple tree are memories we all hope to repeat. The house itself is a quaint and very welcoming combination of modern convenience and antique charm. A well-furnished, modern, and open kitchen ties the house together, between the old farmhouse and the newer addition, while the upstairs had more than enough room for the five of us to sleep comfortably. Much of the welcoming feel to the house comes from its owners, who are friendly, very responsive, and accommodating, and ready to respond should a problem arise. We're lucky they decided to share this home with the rest of us!"

  • Great Stay

"A perfect place to stay while enjoying the fall color at Stowe. The unit is well maintained and up-to-date, and the kitchen had all items necessary to prepare a meal or snack. Many restaurants close by...but there is a restaurant (Sunset Grill) which is just across the street...handy if you don't wish to travel. I would definitely stay there again."

  • Great time for family

"My family and I came for the winter break and really enjoyed our stay. Our kids had never been skiing and the proximity to the slopes and the excellent care and cleanliness of the home was super nice. Great to sit around the fire and play games, go skiing, eat breakfast and dinner at a large table, go to the pool and sauna, step out and grab firewood. Super cozy and warm and exactly the feeling i wanted to give my kids for our first ski trip."

"What a nice, calming weekend - we hated to see it go by so fast. The dogs, Casey and Logan loved the many acres of land -Dave and I spent quite a bit of time walking your fabulous back yard! The interior was charming, rustic and soooo comfortable. I fell in love with the pictures months ago when I booked this place for us. And I fell in love with it all over when we finally arrived here. We would love to come back to your place next year - I don't whether Casey, the golden retriever will be able to make it - he will be 12 in November and is showing signs of arthritis - unfortunately, very common in that breed. The meds and joint supplements will only take him so far. But, he had a great time this weekend. So. I'm thankful for that. As for Dave and I, are not so young either!! Retirement is just around the corner. Maybe we can find piece of Heaven just like yours one day. Many thanks from Dave, I, Casey and Logan."
