  • A perfect space in a perfect place!

"My wife, our two teen sons and I stayed here for a 6 day/5 night ski vacation and would return without question. We found the apartment cozy, clean and very well maintained. Plenty of space for hanging out together or doing our individual things. Easy drive to both Sugarbush bases and Mad River Glen. Many restaurant choices within 10 to 15 minutes, plus two grocery stores right up the road (10 minutes) in Waitsfield. Owners friendly and quick to respond to our questions before and during our stay. Note to renters: It's a short but steep uphill drive off Route 100 to the property, but the road and driveway appear to be plowed and sanded promptly and as needed."

  • Very Accommodating

"Our family had a great experience at the Barton house, and the layout accommodated us well. It is true that everything you might need in a kitchen seems to be there! The beds and pillows were comfortable, and there were enough blankets and clean towels for all of us. The two sofas in the living room were a little more roomy than the impression we'd had from the website, so that was nice. Putting two chairs on each end of the dining table, and a booster seat on another chair for the baby, allowed for 10 people seated at the table. There are also 3 picnic tables outside, (and a small patio with patio furniture behind the house). It was a little challenging figuring out where the tableware and plates were, as they were more so in the dining area, rather than in more intuitive spots -- but once we realized, we found plenty of necessary items. We made smores around the small firepit twice, and did plenty of stargazing in that remarkable night sky. While Barton house, and Barton, are definitely in a very rural part of VT, We found the ride to C&C market in Barton to be very convenient...(5-10 min)., and they had everything we needed through the week. Parson's House coffee shop in Barton was also a nice stop for fabulous coffee and great sandwiches. The ride to Crystal lake was also only about 10 min. or so, although we preferred driving a bit further to the Lake Willoughby area where there are several mountain hikes to experience, and some awesome Giffords brand ice cream at Willoughby Lake Store/Millbrook's. The Barton house has a nice small pond which our small children enjoyed with grandpa in the paddleboat; and due to the large field behind the house it looks like it would be a great spot for sledding in the winter. Finally, Gail was super friendly, and that made our experience especially nice. Thank you much!"

  • Perfect getaway

"The camp was exactly what we were looking for. We had a group of 12 and the house had more than enough room. The waterfront was truly unique and unforgettable. We had a fire every night (right on the waterfront!) while the waves splashed off the rocks. The camp is definitely secluded but not in the middle of nowhere. We caught some live music at the winery less than a mile from the camp and Burlington is less than a 30 minute drive. The house if nicely furnished but it’s a vacation home, if you’re looking for 4-star amenities then you probably want to check something else out. The home was clean and full of character. Also, our lab was welcome at the camp! Absolutely perfect... We will be back for sure!! Thanks!"

  • Wonderful family get away home

"We returned home today after a great weekend at this family friendly home. The home had everything we needed and more we were 8 adults and 8 children (ages 2-9). The downstairs was perfect for the kids sleepover. It had a game room, pool table, darts, a video game that they enjoyed. The hot tub was clean and indoors off the game room. Home was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were comfortable. Glenn was easy to work with responded quickly any time I had a question. I highly recommend this for families. Thank you Glenn!"
