  • 2016 Closers!

"Our first vacation in Vermont and Ron had the gas stove warming the studio cabin upon our arrival. Sweet. Even with snow and high winds over night, we were comfy cozy in our little room. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and the setting was superb. Our short stay was busy with a trip to the Vermont Country Store just a few miles down the road into Weston. Tons of free sampling so I skipped lunch! Hiked Ludlow Mtn (Okemo ski hill) which I would rate as easy to moderate. Upon reaching the summit you must complete it with a trip up the fire tower, regardless of the high winds... Our highlite on this vacation was a trip to the Vermont Inst. of Natural Sciences in Quechee, just an hour away. Lots of interesting and educational programs and information on birds of prey; bird rehabilitation; great lectures; etc. Check out their website because they do fantastic work there. If you're a Nature Nut, you will truly like this adventure. The Local Country store at the bottom of the hill from the cabin was quaint, quiet and well stocked. West Lebanon is only an hour away if you're looking for taxless shopping! All in all, the cabin is well situated, very comfortable, well equiped and we barely scratched the 'exploration' surface of this beautiful area of Vermont. We are due for a return trip in the New Year with a longer stay (and earlier booking dates) as there is still yet a lot more to explore. Thank you Ron and Dottie for allowing us to stay and experience the beauty and your hospitality of the Green Mountains. Hope to see you once again some time in the New Year ."

  • Lovely family getaway!

"Private cove, right on water.. close to Burlington.. Many places to walk, bike, run and fish. Plenty of room, great for family vacation. Many steps to beach but that is worth the privacy. Property well maintained. Water clear but lots of grass growing in shallow water, need water shoes. Always go to the Sunset Drive in...lots of family fun. The young adults went to downtown Burlington and shopped. Will definitely rent again. Eileen Parry"

  • Incredible, grand house

"I stayed here with friends for a winter weekend and could not have been happier. This house was amazing. The first floor great room and kitchen are the central hub, with lots of natural light by day and warmth from the fire at night. The kitchen was large, clean and fully stocked; we cooked a feast and all 15 of us fit around the large table. The beds were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were fantastic-- numerous waterfall showers, wall jets, etc. The basement was so fun-- a bar, pool table, darts, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. The WiFi didn't work and the owners weren't able to help fix it remotely, but we survived a weekend without Internet, of course. Plus, leading up to the trip, Frank and Katherine were friendly and responsive hosts all around. The house was a 15-20 minute drive from Mt. Snow, and sits on an extremely quiet street in the middle of gorgeous Vermont woods. The house was big and clean and comfy and had everything we needed. For a weekend in the woods with a bunch of friends, we couldn't have asked for more."

  • Cozy Chalet

"We had a lovely stay at this cozy chalet. It was very convenient to go to both Mount Snow and Stratton. The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils and we brought ingredients to make dinner. Bedrooms were warm and clean. We forgot a set of headphones, but I contacted Pat and then the caretaker kindly mailed them to us! Thank you again!"
