  • A beautiful location!

"We took a chance on trying a new place in a new location and it turned out to be the best place we have stayed in the last 12 years. The house is very cozy and and the views were wonderful. We celebrated our daughters 12th birthday here and it was perfect for her. We were able to fish and explore and do thinks she loves. The house was very clean and well prepared for people coming who may have traveled light. Anything we needed was available. I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a place and you're stuck between trying to decide between this place or another. I would choose this place. We will be coming back as soon as we can! The owners of the place were very kind and genuine :)"

  • 100% Enjoyable Stay

"My wife, our 14 year old son, and our 11 year old lab spent two nights in the cabin this weekend and loved it. We arrived right at check-in time and found everything in perfect order and exactly as advertised. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The property is beautiful, just as the pictures show. We made 2 trips to Draper for dinners at the Mercantile and highly recommend Chef T's amazing fare. I don't watch the show, but apparently she was runner up on last season's Hell's Kitchen. We also rented bikes from them. We're in okay shape and found that a 2 hour rental was more than enough time. We also walked the dog on 3 different sections of the park trail. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone who is looking for a quiet place (there is some dog barking in the valley but that ended by 8 o'clock both evenings) with access to the New River Park trail at the Allisonia boat ramp only 5 minutes away."

  • This is a beautiful, mesmerizing setting. The cabin is perfectly situated on the hillside.

"Wonderful place to go for a small family getaway! The home is well stocked with all appliances, cookware, glassware, linens, etc. that is needed! We cooked a very bountiful Thanksgiving meal and had everything we needed. Dr. Mitchell was a pleasure to work with! He was very available to answer all of our questions beforehand. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and we were so happy that our family pet was a welcomed guest! Yes...the creek was his favorite spot! "Journeys End" is a wonderful place to get away from it all!!"
