"The cabin and property were as-described and photographed, and better in many respects. It was perfect for visiting and sharing meals, enjoying the quiet, hanging out - especially on the back porch rocking chairs. A well-crafted and nicely appointed cabin, great timbers and wood grain, everything worked. The yard area was mostly a buffer zone to the natural setting, freshly mowed, moderately sloped. Not a remote place but a quiet and pretty one. Good stars. And close to a great variety of fun stuff/places, and a friendly town."

  • Great!

"We have stayed in many places with kids and grandkids over 20 years, and this was one of the few that we have returned to. The scenery isn't "high-country" spectacular, but the view from the house is so engrossing and relaxing that one is content to simply sit on the porch! The fact that it is part of a working farm with cattle and horses within sight and sound further adds to the charm. It is a private and completely quiet setting. And the house is immaculate, architecturally and structurally striking with all the amenities one could want. Since it is off the beaten path, bring what you will need for your stay, because the nearest food and gas is not nearby (thankfully) and you won't want to drive a half hour because you forgot ketchup! There is limited "entertainment" close by (again, - thankfully), but Hungry Mother State Park, and local museums are within an easy drive. Bottom line, this is a charming,. quiet, private retreat."

  • Peaceful and Unique!

"Such a wonderful getaway. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. There were such unique stones and nature touches throughout. It was delightful to just sit and look around the cabin or explore the rooms and deck. My son and I met for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. I definitely would like to come back and maybe bring my canine. I was at Cabin 15 and the parking is up a hill from the cabin but the steps down are easy to maneuver. I look forward to next stay."
