  • Incredible Getaway

"The cabin was beautiful inside and out and well maintained; loved everything about it. Judy was very accommodating despite our late arrival. We enjoyed our stay and had an opportunity to attend a concert at the Blue Ridge Music Center and visit Andy Griffith Museum in Mount Airy North Carolina. We'll definitely love to come back."

  • Perfect Location!!!

"This was our 6th trip to Abingdon but our first time staying in this beautiful home. The open and airy floor plan is perfect for 2 couples. Restaurants, shopping, the Creeper Trail, Barter Theater, Wolf Hills Brewery and first class spa at The Martha are all within walking distance...we parked our car upon arrival and did not get back in until we left Abingdon on Sunday! The owner was quick to respond and so helpful with information regarding Abingdon. We will definitely be back for another relaxing stay at this beautiful house!"

  • Relaxing, beautiful cottage with lovely garden

"My two daughters (11 and 13) stayed at Meadow Cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. The cottage is charming and so peaceful (I slept better than I have for years), and the garden/yard is beautiful. There are several areas to sit and read a book outside, have morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening - the porches on the front and back of the house as well as a fire pit and a table and chairs in the garden. Jim and Jennifer are the kindest people and we loved getting to know them - the pastries and coffee/tea/juices left for our arrival made us feel instantly welcome. We stayed during the Abingdon Arts festival and spent a couple of days wandering around there, we also (upon Jennifer's suggestion) biked the 18 mile Virginia Creeper trail which was so much fun! It's the easiest bike ride we have ever been on - a shuttle drives you to the top of the mountain and the entire ride is downhill with multiple places to stop and climb rocks or put your feet in the water. We also kayaked which the girls loved and the biggest hit was seeing Mamma Mia at the Barter theater. We plan on returning - Abingdon is a lovely little town and we will absolutely stay at one of Jennifer and Jim's properties again. They become like friends!"
