  • Felt private in the heart of downtown

"Our family was visiting Abingdon to celebrate our daughter's birthday. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Craftsman Cottage! The accommodations were impeccable, beautifully furnished with thoughtful design details, such as luxuriously heated bathroom floors, a well-equipped kitchen and a gorgeous craftsman architectural archway. We appreciated all of the windows allowing us to watch the snow fall while we enjoyed the fire. The cottage's location felt private in the heart of downtown and was perfect for dining at great restaurants and visiting the Barter."

  • Adorable cottage, amazing property, generous hosts

"We had a great, early-summer stay. We loved exploring the property, relaxing on the hammock, getting a peaceful nights sleep. Floyd is less than 30 minutes away and we had gone out to their weekly, blue grass "Friday Night Jamberee". Can't recommend coming for this enough. When we returned Theresa had left us what we all decided was the best carrot cake we had ever tasted. She also provided delicious farm-fresh eggs. The cottage is nicely decorated and surrounded by gorgeous flowers, butterflies everywhere. At night we had panoramic views of fireflies that were jaw-dropping. We wished we could have stayed longer."

  • Great family golf trip

"We had a great time at the lake. The home was very functional and flowed nicely to accommodate our family of golfers. We played the Pete Dye River Course in Radford as well as Draper Valley Golf Course in Draper, VA. Lotsa kitchen accessories to cook meals for all of us. Parking was adequate too. We love the area where most of us have enjoyed in past years. Much of our family are Hokies so we were able to visit some of Blacksburg as well. Thanks again to the Bennett's. See you next year!"

  • My Family Loves The Golden Eagle

"We have visited the Golden Eagle Cabin at Fancy Gap Hideaway twice now. It's the only place we'll stay when we visit southwestern Virginia. My kids love the game room downstairs. My wife and I love the serenity of the woods and the sound of the creek below. We all love the location. This place looks brand new. Very clean and neat. Everything you need for your weekend stay is ready for you. I'd highly recommend the Fancy Gap Hideaway for mountain travelers."
