  • Clean, Quaint and Quiet

"This chalet was the perfect getaway! It was peaceful and relaxing with a great view from the massive deck. The owner was very kind and made sure I knew that I could make contact if I needed anything. I was a little surprised when I saw the somewhat steep road leading up to the house, but my all-wheel drive vehicle handled it fine! The location of the chalet couldn't have been better. Just a short senic drive to shops and historic sites. This chalet is truly a gem and I will certainly be back!"

  • Perfect!

"This property was absolutely perfect. We brought our two young boys and they LOVED the steps and the rushing stream. Beautiful sounds from the stream, too! The cabin was super clean and comfortable. At night we sat around the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. It was dreamy! On our way out, we visited Slaughter's Christmas tree farm (minutes away) and got our tree. Perfect ending to a perfect stay. Thank you for sharing your cabin!!"

  • We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend getaway!

"My fiancé and I have stayed here for all 4 of our anniversary trips and have always had a great time. The cabin is impeccably decorated and has everything covered to just chill. We highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a bit or are planning to stay in the area!!!"

  • Super Quiet, Fun Place to Stay

"We loved our stay in the caboose. It was a great space and had everything we needed. It was quiet, scenic, different, and just enough off the beaten path to help us get away as we were traveling from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. Some considerations if you're looking at this property: * It is about 20 - 25 minutes off the interstate. It's an easy and scenic drive, but it will add to your travel time. We realized this in advance, but didn't mind that it got us away from the hotels / motels that only offer views of passing traffic. * Cell reception isn't great. Again, for us, this was a plus not a negative. It may be important for some others. We got sporadic reception, but not consistent. * Pick up things you need before you go. As I mentioned it's a bit off the interstate, but the cabooses have the capacity to do some cooking and there are small refrigerators, so it's easy if you bring something for dinner or breakfast during your stay. I highly recommend this place. The owners are on the property if you need them, but they aren't invasive or anything like that. The view from the deck or the swings is amazing. It really was one of the greatest finds we've had on our "we need a place to sleep overnight" explorations."
