  • Amazing!

"My husband and I often stay in the Meadows of Dan area when we visit Chateau Morrisette Winery and found this little cabin because the place we usually stay was closed for the season -- and I'm very glad we did! This cabin was the perfect escape! Julie has thought of everything to make your stay delightful and stress free and was only a text/phone call away when we had a question. Unfortunately, there was a ban on outdoor fires while we were there so we were unable to enjoy the fire pit and s'more fixin's she so thoughtfully provides but we enjoyed our time at the house playing cards and drinking wine with our son and his girlfriend. The furniture and beds are extremely comfortable (one note: the bed downstairs makes a rubbing/squeaking noise every time you turn over; didn't bother me the first night but the 2nd night I noticed it). We hope the next time we come, we will have an opportunity to explore the property, do some hiking, and, of course, have a s'more or two, although I may have to bring some Reese's peanut butter cups because a s'more with a p.b.cup is the BEST -- much like this cabin! Thanks, Julie, for sharing your cabin and allowing others to experience its beauty."

  • A slice of Heaven

"Could not have found a more beautiful cottage in the most scenic setting. This house is well equipped from the kitchen to the bedrooms. Close to town and convenient to area attractions. The owner Kim was delightful to work with! I cannot wait to return."

  • Perfect mountain getaway.

"If you could imagine the perfect cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay, your imagination will only come close to what you will find here. This is our second visit to the cabin and our family and dog are so happy with the accommodations, the scenery and the endless moments of discovery of quaint and enjoyable surroundings. As before, it greatly exceeded our expectations. Five plus!"

  • Super Quiet, Fun Place to Stay

"We loved our stay in the caboose. It was a great space and had everything we needed. It was quiet, scenic, different, and just enough off the beaten path to help us get away as we were traveling from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. Some considerations if you're looking at this property: * It is about 20 - 25 minutes off the interstate. It's an easy and scenic drive, but it will add to your travel time. We realized this in advance, but didn't mind that it got us away from the hotels / motels that only offer views of passing traffic. * Cell reception isn't great. Again, for us, this was a plus not a negative. It may be important for some others. We got sporadic reception, but not consistent. * Pick up things you need before you go. As I mentioned it's a bit off the interstate, but the cabooses have the capacity to do some cooking and there are small refrigerators, so it's easy if you bring something for dinner or breakfast during your stay. I highly recommend this place. The owners are on the property if you need them, but they aren't invasive or anything like that. The view from the deck or the swings is amazing. It really was one of the greatest finds we've had on our "we need a place to sleep overnight" explorations."
