  • Incredible view and peaceful serenity!

"We have stayed at Laurel Point for many years in a row. It's a wonderful location for us to meet up with close friends and enjoy time together. The house is spacious with room for our families with children. We spend hours in the kitchen preparing meals for each other, sampling local wines, and enjoying the view from the deck. We have visited the house in the winter for New Years and late summer. The view is just as stunning in the winter! If you go in mid-winter, a four wheel or all-wheel vehicle is handy just in case there is any winter weather on the country roads. Or extend your stay until the roads thaw and enjoy the house! There are great hikes close to the house for all seasons. On each visit we have found something new in the area. We are continually surprised to find new and exciting places to explore. The kids love spending most of their time outdoors on hikes or watching the butterflies in the garden at the house. We always visit the Floyd Country Store to hear the local music and talk with the locals. Laurel Point is a peaceful retreat into the country and the perfect setting for our reunions with friends and family."

"The home is very spacious and great for large groups. Plentiful seating and roomy sleeping areas. Well equipped kitchen areas. Multiple kitchenettes make for even greater convenience. The views are outstanding"

  • Very peaceful and quiet

"Beautiful view! Nice clean condo. We enjoyed our stay there and the surrounding area. Only 2 negatives for us were the many steps to carry all of our stuff into and out of the condo and the fact that there was no Honduras coffee provided. We were looking forward to trying it out! It was a perfect place for us to meet from Ohio and North Carolina and we would go there again. We enjoyed the winery and had lunch there. Mt Airy was fun also. Riding around town in a 1964 police car for a personal tour was great."

  • Pleasantly Surprised!

"I went to visit my son, daughter-in-law, & grandson. I have been visiting this area for 11 years & this, by far, was our most pleasant stay as far as lodging. The cabin exceeded our expectations! It was lovely, cozy, so clean, & everything we needed was provided. Fireplace, loft with comfortable beds, porch, & of course, the most beautiful time to be there to see the foliage! We will definitely be back & also recommend it to others visiting the area. Thank you for providing such a lovely, clean, comfortable, & affordable cozy cabin in quaint Meadows of Dan right off Blue Ridge Parkway."
