  • Perfect Spot for a Vacation

"We were so happy to have found this rental when our beach vacation got cancelled due to a hurricane. Everything here was excellent. We were so glad to be able to have a vacation and be in such a place of beauty and peacefulness. The condo is lovely and perfect for families. It had all the comforts of home and Kathy was great to work with. All instructions were clearly written both by email and posted on the fridge. This helped us to know what was necessary to do when arriving and leaving. A perfect spot for a vacation."

  • Great Vacation Getaway!

"Great vacation! The property was great, and we expect it will get better every year as the owner was very responsive and seems interested in improving the property (don't think they have owned it long). We rented a 25' deck boat and had a jet-ski for a couple days too and found the dock to be easy to navigate and had plenty of water under it. Very quiet cove that afforded the dock area a nice breeze and SHADE after about 11am so watching the kids swim and paddle-board was very enjoyable - especially with a corona and blue-tooth radio. My wife and I brought 3 of our children and one friend - and for a couple days, one of our older daughters joined with her 2-year old baby. The house handled us just fine - the younger kids in the extra room , the boys upstairs, my wife and I in the master and our daughter and baby in the queen bedroom. This place is an easy/comfortable vacation cottage - the dual sliding doors out to the SHADED porch was great for breakfast in the morning and was big enough to enable us to host an additional family of 4 for dinner one evening. We were all surprised there were no mosquitoes (though we did use citronella candles at night), and we thoroughly enjoyed a few cocktails and conversation into the night while our older boys helped navigate the smores at the fire-pit. The house is only 5 miles away from food-lion/bridge which was handy for us since we like to cook but rarely have everything we need - however, the house felt very remote and woodsy with no neighbors on top of us. The location on the lake made it pretty easy to get everywhere. We brought a few coolers with us and actually left one on the boat, one on the dock and one on the porch which we kept full of water and drinks - that way we just bought ice everyday either on the lake or at food lion - this is a tactic I'd recommend if you go - the walk up and down to the dock is not bad at all, but we found it easier to just carry the ice down and re-stock as needed."

  • Great home to visit

"My family and I returned from a great weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. We really enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, and exactly as the photo depicted. The entire home was clean and ready for our stay. There were plenty of extras. The home was all that we desired and the view of the lake was wonderful. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you very much."
