  • Excellent!

"The house was better than the pictures. Veda & Teresa were great to work with, always a quick response to any question. We picked this property because of the location and our boat is stored in a marina within site of the house. We had 6 adults & everyone was comfortable and happy with my choice of vacation rentals. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Hated to leave!"

  • A Great Small Cottage

"We wanted to find a reasonable place to stay with our Boxer at Smith Mountain Lake and found this dog-friendly rental cottage. It was compact, but served our needs wonderfully. While the cooking area is in the living quarters, it is well equipped and served our dine-in needs. The cottage was very clean and the deck overlooking the cove was roomy. Perhaps due to our mid-October visit, the complex was sparsely populated, and we enjoyed a relaxing stay. We have a clean, well-behaved dog, but we were relieved to find that there was no evidence of any prior pet accidents."

  • Amazing vacation rental / family reunion

"We were looking for a quiet scenic place for a small family reunion and we found perfection. We are frequent VRBO renters and all our experiences have been positive but this was our best rental ever! What made it perfect for us were the two master suites on separate floors. Whenever you blend two families, even close relatives, it is nice to have privacy when it's time for bed and this home provides that in spades. On the ground floor there is the spacious master suite with gorgeous furniture and great views, a large Recreation room with a stone fireplace, large TV, rustic furniture, an eight foot professional pool table and a tournament length shuffleboard. We had great fun every evening with family vs. family shuffleboard tournaments. Next on that floor is a impressive workout room with a cardio machine, weights, a wall mounted TV and another full bath. That level also has a large patio and outdoor dining table. Venturing upstairs there is another sumptuous master suite, two well appointed half baths, an office space (I guess some people have to work on vacation) a formal dining room for 12, a gourmet kitchen (Sub Zero, Wolf, Bosch etc) with a massive island, an informal dining area for six and two large living areas, a formal living room with a large fireplace and cathedral ceiling and a media room for about eight. The thoughtfulness of the owners is in evidence throughout the house but is in full display in the kitchen. Everything you could possibly need is provided (funnels, colanders, spices, mixing bowls, gourmet cookware, small appliances, kitchen gadgets etc.) but what is most amazing is it is all scrupulously arranged and labeled. Someone involved in this home has OCD and we were the beneficiary of it! Every room on this floor has fabulous views and there is a deck off the kitchen where we had coffee every morning, enjoying the quiet before the kids woke up. We tucked the kids away in the two large bedrooms upstairs on the top floor where there are also two more bathrooms. Outside is a large front yard with a volleyball net and behind the home a beautifully landscaped winding path down to the lake. The path is steep and they have thoughtfully provided a cart to transport all your stuff down to the beautiful dock / boathouse complex. There is a nice firepit with chairs and a boathouse/dock complex with a bar (refrigerator and blender what more could you need). There is a hightop table for eight and 4 kayaks which we really enjoyed"
