Stoney Creek vacation rentals

Stayed with my husband and adult children for a weekend to visit Nelson County breweries, Charlottesville and go river tubing. The house was stunning -- and by far the best supplied of any rental we have ever visited. Best part was the covered porch on the lower deck. We actually had some rainy days but sitting there listening to the rain and the waterfall was like a real life relaxing white noise machine!!! Only caveat to future renters is that the house is very high up the hill!! It takes a good 5 or 10 minutes to wind your way up or down, so even a short trip requires a little time -- but worth it for the scenery!! In the morning you are actually looking down on the low-lying clouds! Super cool!!

Lovely home in Stoney Creek near golf course. Great walking and hiking nearby. Marla is great- easy to communicate with and the home is spacious and comfortable for a family of mixed ages. Loved having 2 masters on the main floor. The outdoor porch is wonderful. The hot tub was an added bonus. We look forward to staying again this fall.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Clean well organized offered good space and bed options for adult getaway weekend. Although would recommend splitting basement Queens into 2 different rooms for couples. Good easy communication with owner. Love this neighborhood and walking trails.

A long birthday weekend with friends. We arent skiers so being "down" the mountain was perfect. Host was super responsive and friendly.

We chose this house because it was halfway between us and some extended family to get together. The pictures does not really do it justice to how spacious it really is. The house was very clean, open and inviting. Had everything we needed to cook on, for our crew of 10. The dads and kids enjoyed the play garage to the max. Moms loved lounging in the sitting room by the fireplace. Kids even got to enjoy the outdoor saucer swing. We did snow tubing in the nearby wintergreen resort. Hit a few of the breweries for meals and drinks, was super fun and the house made it comfortable to hang out as a family. We will be back yearly, this will be our new spot to meet up with family! We did a pick up order at Target in Charlottesville, to have food and snacks. Was easy and quick. Our family was coming from that side, so it was a quick detour on the way there anyway. We knew there were few small convenience stores around, but not any big marketplaces. I also want to mention Joanna was an amazing host, easy to communicate, & responded quickly. In addition to the lovely house, book and trail book that they have printed out for you when you first arrive at the house, she was able to give us even more tips and ideas to do around the area with kids. Our twins forgot that orthodontist headpiece in the bathroom, and she made sure we got those mailed out to us. She really saved us, just a lovely host all around! If you’re considering booking this house, I say do it!

Our entire stay was AMAZING! Chris was so helpful in providing information about fun activities our group could do during our stay. We provided with such great details about the check-in/-out process, the home was extremely clean, and such a lovely place to stay at! 10/10 would recommend and stay here again!

We had a great 5 night stay. Room arraignment and bedding worked out perfect for our group. The pool, yard and basketball hoop were all a hit and kept everyone entertained. Lot's of nice brewery's around drinks and food. Played some golf and did a waterfall hike up at Wintergreen. Walked around Charlottesville also. Their was a nice walk right in the neighborhood where some saw a black bear, deer and lot's of bunnies. We had a great time and would recommend this home. Property manager was very prompt with anything needed and the owner always got right back to us when we had any questions. Everyone was very nice.

Upon arriving everyone was so pleased. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures on VRBO. The house was clean with all amenities needed plus a few more. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. We will definitely be back and hopefully be able to stay longer.
