  • Awesome condo with great location

"Just got back from a week at this awesome condo with my BFF. The condo has a great location near the ski lifts so if you are a skier put this condo on your wish list. We were close by the Spa and outdoor pool which is beautiful. Walking distance of the Mountain Inn. The condo layout is perfect and very comfortable. The music festival was going on so every night we sat on the patio and listened to the different of charge! And, while watching the birds and different critters. Everything you need is there and the owner, Stephanie, is very responsive. Excellent stay. We will be back."

  • Great for families

"We came to Wintergreen to hike with our kids (6 and 8). Even through the rain and fog which prevented us from even seeing the mountains or anything out our window until the third day of our stay, we had a great time. The condo is the perfect home base and had all our family needed. Plenty of space for the four of us, access to the resort amenities if one wants (we did not use) and was well furnished. The owner responded quickly when we needed to contact her. My kids had a great time, the location was perfect and the view was great. We will return."

  • Connecting the Dots

"Today we traveled to Etlan, Virginia where we spent the weekend at Sun Dancer. The property where Spirit Dancer, Sun Dancer and Star Dancer Lodges are located borders on the Shenandoah National Park. This weekend we had no cell phone or Internet connections. These days, we are all used to instant connection via mobile phone or computer. It is technology that makes this possible but when technology is unavailable, we are forced to connect in ways that rely only on face-to-face time where spaces are filled with hugs, discussions and actually doing things together. At night I went outside, listened to the silence above, and saw more stars than I could count. Looking up, I felt a connection to these distant bright balls of gas that inspired people long ago to create pictures and stories by connecting the dots in the sky. Other humans far away also look up at these distant points of light and, like me, are awed. In a way, during our lifetime, we are all our own stars secured to the earth by gravity and given the task of connecting the dots, the spaces among ourselves. My father once asked my husband about his philosophy of afterlife. My husband told him he believes we are made of stardust and that when we die, we become part of the universe. "The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.” ~ Carol Sagan What a gift we had this past weekend--millions of points of light."
