Booked this property for my parents, my husband and I to stay for an extended period for graduations at both Roanoke College and Virginia Tech. This also allowed for my college aged daughters/ graduates to come visit and sleepover when they could! The property was absolutely amazing-a beautiful home in the woods with a spectacular creek, fire pit, plenty of outdoor space to enjoy friends. The inside of the home was immaculate and so charming! Sonny is an attentive, responsive owner of the property and willing to make your stay so special! I would absolutely recommend this property 100%!! I might not have children still in college here and would definitely come back! Thank you!

Spouse and I went to Bruces Bend cabin for a few days to relax and enjoy a different setting. We enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, hiking and relaxing. The cabin was so clean, well maintained, and a great river location. The beds were really comfortable and made for a restful night. We hope to visit again! Thanks for sharing your home.

I highly recommend this location for your stay. Quiet beautiful cabin on a river with all the comforts of home. We booked on very short notice. Sonny was extremely accommodating and a perfect host! He was available (if needed) while also giving you your privacy. The cabin has everything you need and more. There is a very comfortable king size bed in the main room and an equally comfy queen in the loft. All of the appliances are updated and the bathroom shower is very roomy. There are board games, kayaks, a fishing pole, TV, WiFi, corn hole and more! They even provided firewood and kindling for the fire pit!Being a woodworker myself, I appreciated all of the gorgeous craftsmanship and thoughtfulness that went into the cabin. If all of this sounds like what you would enjoy, don’t look any further. Book now! We live 6 hours away but would stay here again if we came out this way in a heartbeat!Thank you Sonny, for caring so much about your renter’s stay!

The communication with the host was smooth and we very much appreciated all the extras that were available at the house. We are already planning trips now where we can book this location.

Just needed a little time away from the stress of a 24/7 job. This amazing cabin fit the bill perfectly. The cabin was very clean, well appointed, and the views from the back porch and sunroom are amazing. I spent time alone just relaxing and reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery. It was also very convenient for me as it was only about an hour and half from where I live. Just far enough away but not too far. This place was wonderful and can easily accommodate 8 to 10 people. The house is very spacious offering areas for different groups with a family gathering. I will definitely keep this place marked for future use again.

The cabin was so amazing! We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife and variety of birds on the property. Watching the thousands of fireflies in the evening was magical- nature’s light show. The creek was beautiful- loved listening to the sounds of the water flowing over the rocks. Found some heart rocks! The cabin was beautiful and perfect! Very clean and well stocked. The owner was great! Stephen has so many thoughtful detailed touches to ensure his guests are taken care of. Will definitely be back!

My three daughters and I made our first trip to the cabin last year. We loved it so much we came back this year. It’s now an annual trip for us. We’ll be back next year!
