  • Everything you need

"We have stayed here 2 times and hopefully will continue to stay here for summers to come. We already have our plans set for this year. Love the pool! Bikes are ready to go and come in plenty of sizes. Perfect place for our young family, it's quiet and secluded. Kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of sleeping space. We loved the new updates this past summer. Mark has always been easy to get a hold of, even though we've never had to call while we were there. House is clean and everything is in good condition. Love this place!"

  • It is obvious that the owner is very interested in providing her guests with a great experience!

"The only thing you need to bring is your toothbrush, change of clothing, and your food. In my life of travel there is no stay that I can compare. Ms. Hutchinson has thought of everything for your needs and comfort. Even the dog waste scooper was there! The local restaurants were all good with friendly people and good food. The beach at Assateague was smaller than the last time we visited but that was due to erosion caused by hurricanes over the past few years. We were able to see the ponies grazing along the road. Many birds, turtles even a deer and an American Bald Eagle in flight were also seen along the ride to the beach. Lots of camera opportunities along the way. Fuel was $ .10 less expensive on the island when compared to the mainland prices. A vacation well worth booking!"

  • Perfect Chincoteague getaway

"My mom and 2 sisters and I stayed here for 4 nights this September to celebrate my Mom's 80th. The house is gorgeous, very well equipped, and convenient to everything. We each had our own rooms, plenty of privacy, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the screened in porch in the back, and on the big deck in front. There's no TV on the first floor, so we played games and read books, which was a nice change. We spent a day on the beach, took a day trip to Tangier Island (from Ocrakoke, a 50 minute drive), and had a great 2-hour pontoon boat ride with Captain Gene from Daisy's Cruises. We made an awesome seafood dinner one night from Gary Howard's market, and loved AJ's restaurant right around the corner. Island Creamery is also a must-do. Lots of places to explore, and this is a great home base to do it from. Highly recommended!"

  • Great location, view and beautiful condo

"We had a wonderful time staying in Captain's Quarters. The condo is spacious, a beautiful layout and lots of space for visiting with family or watching TV or a video. It also has a wonderful deck that overlooks the back bay; it is so relaxing watching the boats go back and forth and the wildlife. The master bedroom is awesome!!!! The view, layout.... everything. Oh, I forgot to mention that you can easily walk to great restaurants and shops. We loved it!!"
