"This was our first time to the Outer Banks. The stay at Turtle Time didn't disappoint. What an awesome vacation house. It was extremely clean. The kitchen is well stocked. We had adults and teens and there was plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. The beach is about a 7-10 minute walk, but wasn't bad at all. The private pool is a great feature. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Working with Eileen was a breeze! Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home."

  • Best value and a well cared for cottage

"This extremely well cared for cottage is by far the best value that we have stayed at in our dozen plus vacations to the Outer Banks in the last 20 years.Every room has beach themed items from the creepy sailor guy in the front room, lamps, pictures and photo's throughout tol pillows and a beautiful quilt hanging on the wall. The owners take great care and it shows. From small details like a Keurig to the back saving lift that with a push of a button will take your heavy coolers and luggage from ground up a story and a half. Very nice. Close to the beach, restaurants, shopping and the supermarket that will save you time and energy. November is off season, I was surprised on the amount of people and traffic around. While we have never been to the Outer Banks during in-season and peak my wife and I are certain there would be 3 to 4 times what we experienced. The secret must be out on off-season along with the best fishing we ever had and excellent weather. I cannot say enough about how the owners really truly care about this property and are very accommodating as they let us stay a extra day(paid extra,of course). Thank you guys for letting us share your second home. P.S. We could not find a diary/ log book to share our experience along with reading other people's fun times."

  • Great location and a nice home for a family getaway

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was very nice and spacious. The third floor kitchen/living room area was a great place for our family to gather. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to cook a meal. The living room had new furniture that nicely accommodated a large group. Also, some of the linens looked updated. There are ocean views from the top floor deck, though they are obstructed by the homes across the street. The house is very close to two beach access points -- less than a two minute walk. The house is also very close to shopping/attractions in Corolla. Bring or rent a bike and you can be at Tim Buck II in 10 minutes! The pool area was great. Someone came at least twice during our stay to make sure the water level/chemicals were fine. The hot tub was also nice. We did have a minor problem with flies in the pool area. They would swarm around our drinks. I talked to someone at the realty company who said that it's a problem lots of people have in the area. That was really the only major annoyance we had. One warning -- if you have someone in your party who has a hard time with stairs, you may want to consider staying somewhere else. The house is spread over three floors and I found myself running between floors many times per day. Also, another tip: if you are a light sleeper, try not to stay in the room under the kitchen area. You can hear everything going on above (moving chairs, closing cabinets). All in all, this was a great house and we would recommend it."

  • Souls Refreshed

"Peace, refreshment and relaxation soaked into our souls during our time at Currituck Cottage. It is a perfectly quaint, beautifully decorated and exceptionally situated home on the Currituck Sound. Views of the water are visible from multiple windows throughout out the house which brought an abundant feeling of relaxation. The airy coastal decorations create a cozy, spacious atmosphere and the bathrooms are beautiful! Paddle boating, kayaking, bike riding, fuze ball, video games, movies and more made for an adventurous and fun experience. Our family of four have delightful memories of Currituck Cottage and plan to make a visit at least once a year."
