  • You won't be sorry

"Jeff and his family have such a wonderful place. I've been staying on a regular basis for over 4 years and I love it so much that I treat it as my own. There's no internet or television but, I've yet to hear anyone that has stayed with me complain. Actually, they learn to relax and enjoy music and talking. The kitchen is very well appointed with spices and utensils. Make sure to bring anything you think might be needed for cooking-stores are not close by. If you take the ferry to get there, there are several nice grocery stores in Williamsburg BEFORE turning on Jamestown Road which is the final stretch before the ferry. If approaching from Smithfield, there is a Farm Fresh about 45 mins away. The house has modern conveniences where needed and Spartan where it can. There is a walk to the beach and it has a steep grade. The path is well beaten but you still need to be careful. Take everything you need because the walk up is a workout. The beach is nothing short of awesome! All yours. Nobody anywhere around. The sunsets are amazing! They provide kayaks, a canoe and chairs. A word of advice, bring water shoes because the beach and surf makes for great shell hunting but can make for sore feet. Most reviews tell about someone's one time visit. I've been around 7 times in 4 years. That should say it all."

  • A History Lover's Dream Vacation

"We have traveled the world over, and I don't believe we have ever stayed at a more enjoyable property. The cottage was everything that we had hoped for: Clean, quiet, well-appointed, quaint, and private. The owners went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed for a great vacation. Their foresight and effort in providing information and amenities is truly remarkable, and it made a good vacation even better. Yorktown is a historic and charming village with extraordinarily friendly people. In addition, the cottage is located within the Yorktown Battlefield and minutes from the Colonial Parkway, a relaxing and scenic route that provides easy access to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown."

  • Very clean and well maintained home.

"The property was as advertised everything you would want for a beach vacation. It was an easy 3 block walk to the beach. We had our bikes which made it even easier. The property was comfortable and very clean. The large kitchen had everything you would need to cook at home if that's what you have planned. The air mattress was a lifesaver since the bunk bed is a little Too squeaky for 2 people. Overall this was a great vacation in a great property."

  • Just Right!

"Our family of four had a wonderful stay for our summer vacation! It had everything we needed, close to the beach and a wonderful patio to enjoy our breakfast each morning and cocktails in the evening. Close to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!"
