Vacation rentals near New Market Community Park

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home! The experience was truly great, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The outdoors were absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic escape. I would definitely love to come back and spend more time here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

I have a goal of visiting every state for at least 5 days to see what each state has to offer. I make sure to get a comprehensive idea of their food, nature, and activities. I am only 23, so I am limited in my resources, but I have knocked off 15 so far. This winter I decided to go to Virginia, and this was the location I decided to stay at. It was perfect! The rental is located in an amazing spot nested between two fields full of rolling hills and beautiful green grass, which are absolutely serene. There are American flags planted among the hills which is nice and patriotic. After settling in, we hiked in Shenandoah National Park for two days, and then headed south to Wintergreen to ski, among other activities. This location was a perfect resting spot for both, and it gave me a great opportunity to see a comprehensive view of Virginia. One night, I saw the most stars in the sky I have ever seen, and that’s after traveling to Alaska, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. Out of all the places I have been to, the sky was the prettiest here. I saw 5-6 shooting stars in 20 minutes! The rolling hills were a great sight to see every morning, along with clear skies at night. The rental was very well decorated and kept up with, and it was a great spot to relax and play cards after a long day. Plus, there were some friendly chickens that would greet us every morning and put a smile on my face to start the day. If anyone is looking to explore the Virginia countryside, this is the perfect place!

What a great place to relax with family! The views were spectacular. We really enjoyed just sitting out on the front deck and in the hot tub. It’s close to Luray Caverns and Cooter’s. Place was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others. Loved it!

This property is beautiful! We enjoyed it so much. Even with the unfortunate weather we had, it was still so lovely! The host is awesome and kept communication with us the entire time. Would recommend this property and host to everyone!

While feeling isolated from the world, enjoying nature all around, we were still very close to town and activities. We particularly liked that the "game room" was located away from the house and provided great entertainment for all. The one draw back was no bedroom area on the main floor and many steps upstairs and downstairs to go to bedrooms. House was well stocked with everything needed and felt like a comfortable, cozy space.

This is our 2nd visit and it feels like home. It is off the beaten path, but close to town , comfortable, and relaxing!! The valley is beautiful, get off the beaten path and enjoy it 👍

The property was gorgeous and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and well kept with a comfy bed and cute coffee bar. The couch is a bit uncomfortable, but we didn’t spend much time lounging anyways. Great location and close to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park for hiking. We had our dog with us, who loves to play frisbee. There was great open space by the pond for him to roam and be happy off leash. Tabatha was so kind and generous, gave some great suggestions and was very communicative and willing to help in any way. The only thing that caught us off guard was the apartment above the cottage that had a tenant. We wished it was a bit more secluded - the cottage is very close to the main house and we could hear the upstairs tenant. But all in all it was a great getaway space to relax and take some time away from busy work life.

We've stayed in multiple vacation rentals in Page County in the last few years. The Great Escape is by far our favorite. The house is larger than it appears in the photos. I consider it a "turn key" vacation home. Bring your clothes, toiletries, & food. Everything else is provided. The house clean and comfortable. The backyard is huge and securely fenced to keep your pups or children safely contained. Our dogs love having the room to run and play after being cooped up traveling. It's their vacation too! The host(s) are wonderful. They have provided a lot of information for the local area, everything from sightseeing to the closest medical and veterinary care. Response time is very fast. The hardest part of staying at The Great Escape is leaving.
