  • Easy Access to D.C. and Maryland

"My husband and I stayed at the cottage while we were in town for the Ohio State/Maryland game. I had stayed there in September with friends and found that it would be perfect to stay there for the game since it is so close to Metro stops (King St. or Huntington). Jack is very accommodating and a very nice person. He was available for questions and he wanted to make sure all was well with our stay. The cottage is in a nice neighborhood, where it is easy to just go for a walk or to walk down to the King St. Metro stop. There is a patio area with a grill (we didn't get to use it). It was nice to sit out there and read while the birds were all around. There are grocery stores nearby (the cottage has a nice kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, etc.) and a choice of many restaurants. We hope to visit again in the future."

  • Great family vacation

"The home was lovely and Dave's photos were like a nice exhibit. We enjoyed the easy metro DC trips, playing with the dogs in the park, downtown Del Ray pubs and the home cooked family dinners."

  • Lovely!

"The house is a beautifully spacious and gracious home. The bedrooms are a very good size, with walk- in closets in the main bedroom in case your shopping gets out of hand! Our teenage son loved the third bedroom/study with the pull out bed as he had a large flat screen TV all to himself. The kitchen is really well laid out - leading out into a lovely patio garden. The house is set in a lovely neighbourhood within walking distance to the main street with an array of shops and restaurants. A free trolley bus runs along King Street to the metro - although it was so hot when we were there that an Uber taxi got us to the metro from the house some days . The metro system into Washinton is very efficient and clean. Two stops for shopping are Pentagon City and on another line - Tysons Corner has an even bigger shopping mall. Jack was lovely to deal with throughout the booking process and answered everything really promptly. We really loved our stay in Alexandria."
