  • A happy holiday at Serene House

"We just returned from a wonderful Christmas at Serene House. We chose this location because it is very close to my son's family. What a find! The house is large, open and very well appointed. The grandkids loved everything about it. The huge yard allowed them to play and explore for hours and the games and pool table provided entertainment for the rainy times. Turkey and all the trimmings was requested for Christmas dinner and the large kitchen area with a convenient island and lots of pots and pans made cooking a pleasure. The owner was very kind and responsive before and during our stay. We all had a memorable holiday. I would recommend this property without reservation and would definitely stay here again."

  • Lovely property

"Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable home for the 4 of us (14 yr old boys and husband.) Since we didn't have a car, we took a 15 - 20 minute walk to the grocery store through a charming dining/shopping district the first day. Easy Uner drive to DC. Feri always responded quickly to our questions. When she was not available, her friend Steve made sure we were OK. Good people. Highly recommend the Pearl!"

  • Off the beaten path

"To call :Windridge" a log cabin is to call pate "meatloaf". It may look like a log cabin outside, but inside, it is furnished with charm & sophistication. Every bedroom has a bath nearby & the master suite is huge, with a marvelous shower. You'll feel at home in the living room or full dining room. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. There are porches all around the outside to enjoy. The limited WIFI should only be a hindrance to those who are surgically attached to their electronics. There is much to see in the area: wineries, farm breweries, good restaurants, historic Oatlands Plantation, charming towns like Leesburg & Middleburg, Leesburg outlets & the beautiful Loudoun hunt country. We have stayed here at least 3 times & intend to return. If you visit in the fall, you may see deer & wild turkeys in your front yard, eating ripe paw-paws."

"This was a perfect choice for our family. Alexandria is a nice city to stay while visiting Washington D.C. The property was exactly as described and the pictures are accurate. The property owners have set this property up to accommodate families and afford privacy in a nice home. Thank you Mike and Betty."
