  • Perfect Little Cabin in a Beautiful Part of Virginia

"My family really enjoyed our stay at Bonny's cabin. The property and countryside are so beautiful. It was a nice drive to Shenandoah and allowed us to go for hikes in the park a few days in a row. We cooked all our dinners at the cabin. The kitchen and grill are well set up for making family dinners. Bonny stopped by right away to check on us and let us know she was right down the road if we needed anything. We had a very comfortable and relaxing weekend. My son loved splashing in the stream during the hot weather. I will definitely consider renting the cabin in the future if we have the chance."

  • Excellent Memorial Day weekend stay

"My wife, I, and 4 other couples stayed down there for Memorial Day weekend, and couldn't have been happier. It's a great place for a big group, with tons of large beds, couches, and a great covered porch to hang out on (plus a brand new grill when we went out there). The property is right on the water and has a giant yard, which was great to use, and it was easy to be able to rent a boat right from them, so we could just walk down to the the dock and get going. It's a pontoon boat, though, so if you want to do water skiing and wakeboarding, you'd need to rent a boat elsewhere. It's also got a huge kitchen and living room area, again great for having a big group. We were a group of 30 year olds, but it would've been great when we were younger or a little older with kids too. We'd definitely stay there again!"

  • Thank You

"Thank you for a great couple of days away from the world. I was a little skeptical booking the house due to the price compared to the size. I wasn't disappointed, the house was a fantastic value. The house is old and rustic where it needs to be and current and modern where it needs to be. There were only four of us so room wasn't an issue at all. Carla was fantastic to deal with and went out of her way to provide anything we needed. Don't let the size of the house versus the price fool you. This is a fantastic Home Away find!!"

  • Great house for families visiting DC area

"We rented the house for our grown kids, spouses, and one grandchild so we could have a family reunion. The location is great. It's less than 2 miles from an Orange Line Metro station (you can actually walk it). There's a new upscale development nearby with shops, restaurants, theaters, and a Target. And it's a couple minutes from the Beltway. The house is furnished very tastefully. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with one bath. The downstairs is a large mother-in-law apartment with its own sleeping area and bath. The cleaning service must be in the habit of leaving unused foodstuff, as we found cooking oil, rice and some other basics in the kitchen (the rice proved to be useful). There are a ton of very nice dishes, glassware. Monika, the rental manager, is very professional and prompt. The kitchen waste disposal failed on the second day of our stay and the handyman was there the next morning to diagnose and fix the problem. We will come back to this rental when we have another reunion."
