  • Fantastic, charming old clean/comfy farmhouse

"Clean. Comfortable. Charming. Quiet. This was a fantastic find. Impeccably clean, it felt like I had transported myself to my grandma's house 60 years ago except for the satellite TV, hot tub (SUPER clean), and comfortable new beds. Your own little piece of heaven. 2 mins from food, groceries, and whatever you need to live. 15 mins or less to all attractions like the Luray caverns, Shenandoah, horseback riding (Jordan Stables was super fun, kind and family operated). The owner of this farmhouse, Gary was kind and helpful and wasn't around to bother you in your serenity. Sheets, towels, tissues and soap and coffee all provided. I highly recommend staying here"

  • Relaxing Fun

"We arrived to a warm, inviting home and a lovely gift basket for making s'mores on the campfire. A beautiful handwritten note from the owners just made our stay that much more special. There were so many things to do ... swimming, badminton, campfire, games, movies, croquet ... there's no reason to get bored here! And having a vineyard within walking distance was the icing on the cake."

  • Weekend Getaway

"An absolutely GORGEOUS cabin. One of the cleanest places we have ever reserved. (When you have mid-age couples that consists of two police officers, a registered emergency room nurse and a pharmacy tech stay, we tend to be pretty critical lol) Everything you would need is at your finger tips. The cabin is laid out nicely with large open concept family room / dining / kitchen area. With one large bedroom upstairs and a large master down, we still had our own space as well. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Great getaway! Would absolutely recommend!! Annette made the reservation process pain free as well and was always only a phone call away when we had questions 😊"

  • Perfect Romantic Getaway

"My wife and I took our two dogs for a nice, quiet week of relaxation at Bear Meadows. It exceeded our expectations in almost every category. The property itself is great. A huge yard leading down to the River. We found the walk back and forth to the river to be relaxing and not at all too far for us. Lots of wildlife; deer, fox, rabbits, even a Bald Eagle! We spent most of our time outdoors and much of it at the river front or in the river swimming and playing with the dogs. There is a nice little beach area, a picnic table and decent fishing spots. We also took full advantage of the Jacuzzi and the grill. The deck itself is a little small, especially at night when the bugs are attracted by the thousands to the lights. But all in all a very nice set up. The cabin itself is well furnished, very well equipped and everything was in working order (one note, the back door is very hard to shut, so be careful with it). There is absolutely no cell service, which we found enjoyable. But the internet worked great. We did not take advantage of the game room in the garage as it was simply too hot during our stay. But there is a foosball table in the cabin. All in all a wonderful stay and we are already planning our next trip."
