  • Heaven on earth

"We feel very fortunate to have stayed in such a beautiful location. It was just what the doctor ordered- quiet, peaceful and absolutely beautiful! We hope to return in the future."

  • Amazing riverside escape!

"My fiancée and I booked this house as a weekend getaway in the off chance it would be warmer in Virginia than New York in April and we lucked out with great weather and a really easy booking process with Jennifer. The house was perfect and immaculate and the location really can't be beat if you are looking for a getaway and some river time. We were able to take the kayaks out and did some fishing but it would be even more amazing to come in the summer when you can take a raft out and float down the river. We brought our dog along and she loved it as well, there are no close neighbors and no river traffic at all that time of year so we felt like we were alone in the middle of nowhere which was exactly what we were looking for. Jennifer had some great suggestions on places to visit within a 30 minute drive and we were able to spend a gorgeous day winery hopping (our favorite was cobbler mountain cellars which was very dog friendly and had wine and tons of ciders to try) but wish we would have packed a picnic because that definitely seemed like the thing everyone was doing. We also had some great food at Hunter's head in Upperville and also traveled up north a bit to check out catoctin creek distillery and Market burger-all of which I would also recommend. While we were at the house there were some minor issues that came up that Jennifer was able to help us trouble shoot quickly even though she was traveling herself that weekend which was great as well. She was very accommodating and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending this place to friends and family!"

  • Reclusive, peaceful setting with much to offer

"The Montfair Farm provides a relaxing escape by offering scenic views; opportunities to explore the woods through wonderful trails; and cozy, comfortable cabins. The owners/office staff are very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short trip to Humpback Mountain that was recommended and our visit to Charlottesville. The food and coffee in Crozet was also delicious. My partner enjoyed fishing and canoeing while I enjoyed hiking and biking the trails. Once I got over the fact that I did not have phone access at the cabin, and that the internet was slow and spotty, I enjoyed this vacation as much as any I have taken. In fact, the lack of connectivity most likely greatly enhanced the relaxation. The A-frame cabin would be perfect for a couple with teenagers or older children, but the steep stairs to the loft is prohibitive for very young children, older people or those with disabilibites. Montfair offers a reclusive, peaceful setting and is a wonderful retreat. Thank you so much to the attentive staff. Dr. Bean"

  • Awesome vacation home... great service

"House was very clean and well maintained. Everything was clearly labeled making it easy for us to find stuff. With 4 king size beds this was perfect for us since no one had to be stuck in a tiny room. Location also great being close to all the resort facilities. Owner was great to deal with and was very responsive. Would definitely recommend."
