  • perfect place to escape and relax

"The house is very lovely and has everything you could need. Everything was clean and in good condition. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, cooking in the kitchen and walking to the river nearby. It is also just a quick drive to Luray. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return soon."

  • Lovely home

"We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It suited our needs perfectly - close to Sheandoah, plenty of room, quiet. Our main purpose was to go hiking, but I would highly recommend a trip to the Luray Caverns as well. We did this our first day, when it was pouring down rain. It was a good Plan B!"

  • Relaxing, cozy, peaceful, house in the woods!

"We really lucked out by discovering this place. So hip and styled with modern/vintage decor, every touch was placed and selected with the comforts of home in mind. We enjoyed the fire pit under the stars (sooo many stars!!) in the evenings and lounged in the sun on the front porch by day. It's only a short trip to all the best trailheads. Coming back after a long hike to a warm bath and comfy couch was the best!! The kitchen had everything we could need. And it was so clean! Not a speck of dust. Laura was a great host and all the information we needed was provided ahead of our trip. I came here with my husband but this place would be perfect for a small family, that we hope to come back with some day. :)"

  • Great Place to Unwind

"We stayed at Merry Hill this past weekend and really loved it. We spent most of the time outside since the weather was very nice, but the house interior provides all the comforts of home with plenty of room for everyone. Best of all, Merry Hill is super clean; so if cleanliness is important to you, then this place will impress you big. The area, while close to DC, offers wineries and beautiful scenery to keep your days filled while there. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well and spent a good amount of time there by the fire. Thank you Amy for a great weekend - we'll be back!"
