  • Wonderful Vacation

"We have just returned from a week at Sunnyside Cottage. It was very relaxing and a great home. We brought our boat but it was a little windy so we fished off the dock. We caught some great catfish and bass without ever having to leave the dock! It was also wonderful to sit on the screen porch in the evenings and just watch the water. We hope to return in the spring and will stay here again. Thank you so much Tonya!!"

  • Great Thanksgiving Weekend Stay!

"We had a wonderful stay at flip flop inn over Thanksgiving weekend. This house was perfect for our two families including 4 young children. The house set up was perfect with 3 bedrooms on each floor. The downstairs game room was a hit for young and old. We also enjoyed time on the dock and walking around the neighborhood. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our Thanksgiving feast. The owners were very helpful. We would love to go back in the summer and enjoy some more time in the lake!"

  • Great time at an amazing house!

"The house, patio, and dock area are excellent and a great place to relax. We rented a boat from Morningstar Marina which is only a few minutes away which I would definitely recommend to anyone who does not have a boat. Thanks again Donna!"

  • The Blue Heron is a fantistic place to enjoy Lake Gaston!

"The house is extremely comfortable, sits right off of the lake with only a few neighbors. The grandkids had a great time fishing off of the dock, and spent hours jumping in the lake without any concern about boat traffic or waves.Felt like we were in a Mark Twain novel. At night the lake gets very quiet and I can't explain the feeling of sitting on one of the decks and looking at a black sky with a million stars. And on our one rainy day we sat in the screened in porch and just listened to the soft sound of the rain as the grandkids played in the lower family room. And when you go, eat at The Point, great ambience, very good food, especially the steamed shrimp."
