  • Great Stay

"I just got back from our stay at the Sumbling Elk Lodge at Suncadia. I was there with a church women's group and we all loved it so much! Suncadia alone is amazing and we really enjoyed the property. The house was very clean, had lots of space, and the owner was very easy to work with. I was there with 14 other women and we all had enough space and felt like it was easy to be comfortable in this house. I could see how it would be a great house for kids too. Our only problem we had was with the oven. We had a hard time figuring it out, and burned a few dishes:( It was way hotter than the temperature said. So maybe some directions with it would be very helpful. A few notes if you are staying there: 1. bring ziplocs bags 2. It says it sleeps 16 which with children it definitely could if you put 2 kids on each double bed and the pull out couch. But for a group of 16 women, that doesn't work so well. What we did was had a few people bring air mattresses to put in the rooms. The rooms are huge and there was plenty of room for that, but that way we weren't asking 2 women's to share a double bed. Also Suncadia will come and deliver cots too. We used one as well. Hope these tips help you! We hope to stay here again in the future. This is our 3rd house we've stayed at there and my favorite!"

  • Great family vacation

"Grand Fir Lodge is a great house for multiple families to come together and yet have quiet spaces. Kitchen was very well equipped as was the entire house, including the 2 bikes in the garage that enabled us to add to those we brought so that more adults could ride at once. We loved having the trail so close, and we discovered that the park was fabulous for the children. On the last day, we took all 5 grand children on the shuttle which was a fun experience. We rode bikes, hiked, went to the lodge for s'mores, swam a lot, walked, used the fitness center, explored Roslyn, and took turns cooking. The children enjoyed the playroom and hide and seek, and we all slept well in our comfortable and private spaces. Thank you for the online manuals that helped us know several details about the house before we arrived. Our stay was fun and relaxing thanks to a great house and being together."

  • Apollo's Retreat is a great place to relax and find your beach

"The home is very spacious with ample room to spread out. Slept 12 comfortably without any doubles. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and great room eating, watching college football, and comparing notes from the day on the golf course. I would stay here again and again..."
