  • Clean, Quiet and Cozy!

"My fiance and I stayed in The Aspen Hollow cabin for 2 nights in August. Even though it says 1 bdrm, in addition there is actually a loft upstairs with a Queen bed and 2 twin beds -- we slept up there the first night and it is pretty private. This is about a 5-10 minute drive out of Winthrop on a property with a few other cabins, but this one has it's own driveway and you cannot see anything other than trees and nature...nor can you hear anything but the frogs and crickets! This cabin is actually nicer than it appears in the pictures -- it is very clean and spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots, spices and seasonings and we loved the large, family style dinner table (even though this trip was just the 2 of us, we had visions of bringing the whole family back, cooking dinner and playing one of the many stocked games provided by the owners!). Even though we did not use them, the property also had a community hot tub and pool -- maybe next time! The only drawbacks I had, which I consider EXTREMELY small but worth the upstairs queen bed is not the best bed in the universe....seems a little old and "springy"....probably better for kids who don't weigh as much (we spent the first night upstairs, then moved down to a MUCH BETTER bed in the bedroom downstairs for the 2nd night). Also, the railing on the balcony off the upstairs loft was a little loose. Other then that, our weekend was pretty much perfect and this cabin was better than expected, especially for the price in comparison to others in the area. We loved the privacy, peace and quiet. Will we be back? You bet!"

  • Perfect location to visit Winthrop while enjoying a relaxing stay

"Owner is super nice, house in perfect condition with plenty of space, beautiful garden to enjoy a relaxing evening or an outdoor breakfast (summer :-). Location is just perfect, 2 min walking literally from the main street. Highly recommended for any occasion. We'll come back!"

  • Perfect for a Family

"This apartment was perfect for our family of 6! It was clean and had plenty of living space. The kitchen had everything we were looking for. The only sad thing was that there is not a dishwasher. It was just a short walk down to the main street in Winthrop. And the view of the river from the balcony was wonderful. We even saw deer in the field next door. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

  • Very comfortable "cabin" away from the highway

"We are no strangers to the Winthrop/Mazama area, making at least three trips per year. However, this is the first time that we stayed at this wonderful cabin. My wife, her brother, and I spent three enjoyable nights here. It's located far enough off of Highway 20 to minimize road noise and it's situated at the foot of a gradually upsloping forest. The sleeping areas were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped with dishes and utensils. We enjoyed the nice deck as well. There was a generous supply of reference materials for the surrounding area which was helpful. It is located much closer to Mazama than it is to Winthrop which suited our plans very well. Aside from a burned out light bulb and a problem with the kitchen exhaust fan, everything worked well. We hiked up to the Goat Peak lookout (a great hike but a little steep and had snow patches), hiked along Wolf Creek, and thoroughly enjoyed the Mazama store. A stop at the glass blowing store in Winthrop was another highlight. We would certainly consider staying here again and I can recommend it."
