"Beautiful and clean home and surrounding area. Would stay there again. Bring your own staple items for the kitchen other than salt and pepper (foil, plastic wrap, spices, olive oil)."

  • Hood River Gem

"We have been coming back to this house for many years now, and look forward to it every year! The property is well maintained; has a well provisioned kitchen for cooking; and comfy, quiet rooms, for a great nights sleep. A signature amenity is the outdoor shower! After a long day of mountain biking, enjoying the outdoors, with a view of the Columbia and mountains beyond, is a perfect way to end the day! The house is on a quiet street, but a short walk to the center of town. It's base to explore all that Hood River has to offer!"

  • Spectacular Mt. Hood views and easy access to skiing and towns

"In addition to our previous comments we thoroughly enjoyed watching the wildlife....especially the California Quail running from tree to tree and particularly the bald eagle that flew directly toward us from the south and no more than 20 ft above our heads. Magnificent!"

  • Large space with beautiful views!

"We stayed at this large home for New Years weekend 2017, where fresh flowers greeted us on arrival. What a fantastic time we had. There was more than enough space for our group of 15 adults and 5 kids under age 6. The grounds were beautiful and scenic and we were lucky enough to have snow while were there so we could build a snowman and have a good natured snow-ball fight. We didn't need anything as the house has everything little thing you can think you might need. One highlight was the beautiful elk herd that came and visited the grounds each morning. I'm a native northwesterner, but will never get tired of nature. Even though we brought some of our own games, there was a collection already there and we also made use of the ping pong table. We had a range of ages, 4 months to seniors and there was something for everyone. Its only a short drive to the town of Stevenson, where there is a well-stocked grocery store and a great little alehouse, Red Bluff Taphouse that had some great beers. I would definitely consider staying here again and would love to come back and see it in the summer months."
