  • Fabulous location, spacious house

"A group of seven friends from various places around the U.S. picked this as our 2016 reunion spot. The location was great - not far from the Portland airport, easy to get to the village of Stevenson or to Hood River, wineries, river rafting, hiking, etc. The view from the deck is spectacular, and furnished with plenty of chairs. Great spot for stargazing. We happened to hit a freak heat wave when we were there so we ended up sitting on the patio below the deck, and we were glad to discover that shady spot. The only small thing that keeps me from giving this house five stars is the lack of Wi-Fi. For our group, checking out for a weekend was no big deal (though one person did set up a hot spot on his phone) but for a longer stay or for people who insist on being connected, Wi-Fi would be a nice addition."

  • Wonderful Home in great location!

"We had a wonderful stay at this property! The backyard was perfect for my kids to play and there was a fantastic park just blocks away! The market was conveniently close and we enjoyed our stay so much, only wish we could have stayed longer."

  • Perfect quiet nature getaway

"To sum up how much we enjoyed our stay at Eva's cottage I'll just say we're booking again for later this summer. Our hopes of getting out of town for the July 4th holiday to somewhere quieter (sans fireworks for our doggy dear) were far exceeded once we landed in the woods and on the river. So postcard perfect! A few reviews have remarked on the spot being small--we found it to be larger than expected. The amenities were all thoughtfully shared and we had everything we needed for our picnics, cooking a nice meal, and overall comfort. The hot tub was very clean and enjoyable and the stone shower really nice. The small and rustic touches of the cottage give it such lovely charm. We especially fell in love with the fireplace stone work and history of the land and cabin. The river really is just steps away and there is a perfect little beach spot for enjoying it. The wildlife was abundant--we saw river otters, a beaver working on his neighboring lodge, kingfishers and many other sweet birds. The water was brisk, but so clear and nice for a summer day dip. This spot is truly something special and we look forward to returning!"

"We got married here in early September and absolutely loved everything about it. The property is gorgeous, spacious, varied, and unique. We loved that guests could wander around from the river to the little barn to the tent to the woods to just gawking at the epic view of Mt. Adams. It's obvious what enormous care Genevieve puts into maintaining the grounds and buildings, from tiny details to major amenities. She was also an amazing day-of-coordinator, ensuring everything went smoothly and helping find creative solutions for some wind that threatened to knock our flowers over :) Highly recommend for any occasion."
