  • Heavenly Hood Canal Vacation

"My husband and two year old twins arrived on a beautiful, sunny day. We were instantly drawn around the cabin exploring the ins and outs. We spent hours on the beach throwing rocks in the water, swimming, playing in the sandbox, and swinging in the hammock. We cooked all our meals at the cabin and were never in need of anything (dishes to well-stocked pantry). We loved watching the eagles, seals, heron, and sea gulls searching out their breakfast as the sun came up behind the cabin. As the day ended, the sun set directly in front of us every night, and we played cards by chandelier light until 10pm! We also ventured to Staircase for a hike and loved being so close. Our last day, my mom came and picked up the kids and we were able to sneak away to Alderbrook for a massage. It was perfect! Also, when the power went out due to a brush fire across the canal from the cabin, Kathy was quick to call and text providing us with the information we needed to be safe and comfortable. Thank you Kathy and Darrel for sharing your slice of heaven on Hood Canal. We will be back!"

  • Fourth Of July Fun!!!!

"What a great getaway! Our family loved this charming cabin with all the necessities and comforts of home. The view is amazing, and fire pit is the perfect area to relax after a day on the water. Loved the friendly and fun atmosphere of Treasure Island. So many fun activities over the holiday weekend. Hoping to book it again next year! Thank you!!!"

  • Birthday weekend with our Besties!

"We love the canal and Sunshine Point was the perfect place to revisit old memories from our childhood stomping grounds, and create new ones. The home is perfectly situated on the property with beautiful views and great access to the beach. Sue and Mark have made sure it is well-stocked and nicely furnished. We were 3 couples (down from an intended 4) and the bedroom configuration worked well for the 6 of us. We would have had to draw straws if we'd had the 4 couples as the 4th bedroom is set up for kids or singles....we would have made it work, though! We had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. We loved the outdoor fire pit for the one drizzly day we had. We appreciated all the seating inside and out. Since we were very close to Twanoh State Park, we visited the beach where, as teens, we spent hot summer days sun bathing and swimming. We took the 2.5 mi hike which is scenic and probably do/able for most. A must-do is the drive to the Hama Hama Oyster get rewarded with the freshest oysters ever, raw or grilled, as well as other menu items and beer and wine. It was great weekend experience. Sue was a gracious host and made everything easy to arrange. We shall return!!!"

  • Perfect location for a family vacation!

"We rented this house and garage apartment for a week in August. The air conditioning was a plus as there had been a heat wave in Washington. The kitchen was well equipped and the private beach was beautiful! Our son was getting married nearby and 7 of us were staying. We were very comfortable-plenty of bathrooms. Bonnie and Pat were also able to accommodate our rehearsal dinner at the nearby Selah Inn and everything was wonderful. Best food in Belfair!"
