  • Beautiful home and wonderful canal/mountain views

"4 adults and 4 tween/teen boys. Crabbing and oyster gathering for three days was great fun with foosball and ping pong in down times. The included small rowboat helped a lot and the views were fantastic. The home is very comfortable with all that is needed present in the kitchen and labeled. I guess a complete review always has to include some "cons" so I suppose some might be put off by the highway noise, but that isn't noticeable inside the house. The railing on the back deck is a little shaky as in the plank leading to the beach, but on mentioning it to the owner he said he was already in the process of repairing them. The only other thing I noticed was some jagged rust on the metal where the rowboat is locked and stored. Be a little careful there, but the two out buildings are fantastic and well stocked with all you could need and very well organized. This place is absolutely fantastic and at a very reasonable price. I can't say how much the 8 of us enjoyed our time here and would love to go back sometime."

  • The perfect spot

"This home sits on the Great Bend of the Hood Canal, it is the perfect location to explore the estuary of the Skokomish River by Kayak, the home even has a ramp for launching Kayaks. The home itself is more than comfortable, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and unsurpassed views of the canal and mountains beyond. The first night there we were, treated to an incredible sunset, a sunset no painter could do justice to. All during our stay we were treated to a show by the seals that hang around on a raft anchored in the bay, this included flipper slap fights that would do the 3 Stooges proud. The house has an eclectic movie collection that has something for all tastes. My one and only negative is the lack of internet, my traveling companion had a work issue that had to be addressed, we had to resort to driving to the library in Belfair to gain access. That issue aside I would absolutely recommend this property."

  • Perfect for families!

"We are a family of six with teenagers. With no internet or cable we were all forced to spend time together! We fished, played board games, pool, movies, and read. We had a great time an plan to come again in the summer."

  • Cozy, Modern, Lovely and Welcoming

"We loved staying here. A perfect place to easily launch kayaks with kids. The home had everything we needed to make delicious meals. The grounds surrounding were fun to explore--you never need to leave. Hugh front yard for the kids to run around. A perfect place for a romantic get away. The hosts are incredibly kind and thoughtful and helpful."
