  • So Cool!

"Outstanding property and owners. Just a great experience in a very cool cabin. It is very apparent that a lot of heart and effort went into the updating and decorating of the 1930's cabin. Very well equipped, well maintained, owners were very organized and great to deal with. Mooring buoy was well maintained with a new chain. We are recommending these cabins to friends and expect to return again for kayaking and crabbing. So nice to have a great VRBO experience on Hood Canal........the location and charm of the cabins and cove will be bringing us back."

  • New Years Weekend

"Over the New Year’s Holiday weekend, our family and friends celebrated New Years and a retirement at The Bend. The Bend is an incredible home to accommodate friends and family for preparing/eating meals and sleeping, and very nicely decorated. Between the local activities available, pool table, foosball, playing games, watching football, hot-tubbing, and visiting, four generations (25 adults and 3 children) never felt crowded and everyone enjoyed themselves. We could not have asked for better weather (cool and crisp, with snow on the ground) to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views. The owners were wonderful to work with. We hope to have another family function at the Bend in the future."

  • Beautiful home and wonderful canal/mountain views

"4 adults and 4 tween/teen boys. Crabbing and oyster gathering for three days was great fun with foosball and ping pong in down times. The included small rowboat helped a lot and the views were fantastic. The home is very comfortable with all that is needed present in the kitchen and labeled. I guess a complete review always has to include some "cons" so I suppose some might be put off by the highway noise, but that isn't noticeable inside the house. The railing on the back deck is a little shaky as in the plank leading to the beach, but on mentioning it to the owner he said he was already in the process of repairing them. The only other thing I noticed was some jagged rust on the metal where the rowboat is locked and stored. Be a little careful there, but the two out buildings are fantastic and well stocked with all you could need and very well organized. This place is absolutely fantastic and at a very reasonable price. I can't say how much the 8 of us enjoyed our time here and would love to go back sometime."

  • Fourth of July

"This was a wonderful place to stay with our family for the Fourth of July and our twins' birthday. The house was spacious enough to allow privacy for all four couples and it was great to have 2-1/2 bathrooms! The weather was overcast most of the time, but that didn't keep us from swimming in the "warm" cove and hot tubbing afterward. We rented kayaks and crab pots and caught three good-sized male crabs (you do need a license). Had a lot of fun group cooking a fabulous chowder with the crab and the clams we got during low tide. We also made good use of the barbecue. The deck is large with table, chairs and the hot tub, all overlooking beautiful Triton Cove. The kitchen is very well stocked. Bring food to minimize trips to the grocery store several miles to the south. And eat/drink at Hamma Hamma Oyster Saloon, also a few miles south. So much fun!"
