  • beautiful home and views

"The house was well maintained and felt newly renovated. We loved the views from the deck, and had seals to watch every day! Useful information: the beach is very shelly and rocky. It was also very muddy at low tide! Gathering clams and oysters would be a breeze, but the neighbor informed us there are no crabs in this part of the water."

  • Birthday weekend with our Besties!

"We love the canal and Sunshine Point was the perfect place to revisit old memories from our childhood stomping grounds, and create new ones. The home is perfectly situated on the property with beautiful views and great access to the beach. Sue and Mark have made sure it is well-stocked and nicely furnished. We were 3 couples (down from an intended 4) and the bedroom configuration worked well for the 6 of us. We would have had to draw straws if we'd had the 4 couples as the 4th bedroom is set up for kids or singles....we would have made it work, though! We had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. We loved the outdoor fire pit for the one drizzly day we had. We appreciated all the seating inside and out. Since we were very close to Twanoh State Park, we visited the beach where, as teens, we spent hot summer days sun bathing and swimming. We took the 2.5 mi hike which is scenic and probably do/able for most. A must-do is the drive to the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon......you get rewarded with the freshest oysters ever, raw or grilled, as well as other menu items and beer and wine. It was great weekend experience. Sue was a gracious host and made everything easy to arrange. We shall return!!!"

  • Waterfront Gem

"This lovely property is perfect for a family gathering. The three children, aged 2 1/2 to 5 loved gathering shells, searching for little critters in the sand, watching the boats and boaters, and playing in the water. The adults enjoyed everything about the place, comfortable beds, quiet, and the terrific scenery while sitting on the deck supervising the children. The house is spacious and well appointed. The beach is sand and gravel and slopes gently toward a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. We loved watching the boats come and go on the nearby boat launch. And finally, one of the best things about the Inn is the hospitality of the owners which even extends to providing beach toys, games, books and puzzles for the kids. It was perfect. We will be back!"
