  • Fourth of July

"This was a wonderful place to stay with our family for the Fourth of July and our twins' birthday. The house was spacious enough to allow privacy for all four couples and it was great to have 2-1/2 bathrooms! The weather was overcast most of the time, but that didn't keep us from swimming in the "warm" cove and hot tubbing afterward. We rented kayaks and crab pots and caught three good-sized male crabs (you do need a license). Had a lot of fun group cooking a fabulous chowder with the crab and the clams we got during low tide. We also made good use of the barbecue. The deck is large with table, chairs and the hot tub, all overlooking beautiful Triton Cove. The kitchen is very well stocked. Bring food to minimize trips to the grocery store several miles to the south. And eat/drink at Hamma Hamma Oyster Saloon, also a few miles south. So much fun!"

  • Family Dream Getaway!

"Our family had the most wonderful time staying at Pebble Beach. With two young children, it can be difficult to find a place of comfort away from home but Linda and Greg made this our favorite family trip ever! The home is beautiful with lots of space. The view was unbelievable and we enjoyed our peaceful mornings looking out on the water snuggled up with the kiddos. If you're ever in the Union area, staying at Pebble Beach is a must!"

  • Location, location, location!

"This 1960's (?) A-frame sits right on Hood Canal with access to the water via a steepish wooden staircase. The back deck is comfy with beautiful view of McDonald Cove including eagles, sparrows, seals frolicking about! The place does have 2 kayaks, a hammock, and heating device for deck for evening dinners. That being said, 4 adults would be the maximum number of people as only 1 bedroom is private, the second one being up a steep staircase under th "A" which is open to the main livingroom. The livingroom (decked out with 2 leather loveseats, one droopy futon couch and a wood burning stove) also looks out on the sound- very restful. The futon couch folds out to a double bed that kids could sleep on. The kitchen was adequate. (Could have used a teakettle and fridge was a bit rusty.) Carpeting in livingroom and in upstairs bedroom needs to be replaced; however, never had to worry about messing up the floors...Enjoying time at the cabin and on the private waterfront was a real plus.My husband and I also enjoyed exploring Duckabush River (Murhut Falls), DosewallipsRiver (oysters, clams, oh my!), and Hamma Hamma River and eating oysters outdoors @ Hamma Hamma Seafood. Owner provided good customer service and instructions for cabin (turning on/off systems) were clear and easily followed. A negative upon leaving-we were instructed to take our garbage/recycling w/ us except the landfill was not open on the day we left. Had to leave our refuse at the State Park."

  • Husband birthday

"We stayed the weekend for my husband birthday, the cabin is very clean and the owner has put a lot of cute decorations through out the cabin. My husband said it was the best birthday he's had, the fishing is great he got 8 fish which he released. If you want a great experience stay here you will not be disappointed."
