"We loved our stay at the All Seasons Waterfront Villa on the Hood Canal. It's an absolutely beautiful area, and the house is right on the water with a large yard, steps leading down to the beach, and fantastic views over the canal and the hills beyond. The house is large and very well-appointed; three full bedrooms, two full baths, and enough separation between the master bedroom and the others so people can spread out a bit and have some privacy.
Hiking, biking, kayaking, and other adventures await in the surrounding area. Just up the road is Kayak Brinnon, where we rented kayaks and gear to go crabbing, catching ourselves some nice red rock crab for dinner.
There's only a few downsides. First, the area is fairly remote, and it's at least a 30-minute drive to the nearest proper grocery store (not including a gas station a mile or so up the road). Come prepared since there's no quick dash to the store to grab something you forgot. Second, the house comes without any cable or satellite TV service, and no real DVD collection to speak of. Bring a laptop (the Internet works fine) and an HDMI cable so you can play your own movies on the TV. Third, the hot tub is great but during our stay the thermostat was not working properly, and was overheating -- we found that leaving the cover off for a few hours would let it cool down."
