  • Perfect house!!

"This was truly a perfect house! Amazing views from 3 sides, hot tub, and literally steps to the beach! Everyone we talked to was very kind and accommodating. The house has all the comforts of home you will need. We are making plans for another weekend very soon! Thank you!!"

  • Great house, great location, great hospitality

"Our group of two families of four with kids ages 2, 5, 9, and 12 could not be happier with this property. The house was meticulously clean, well maintained and well stocked. Bob gave us a quick run-through and I was more impressed as the tour went on. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the grill several times and it worked well. We had perfect weather (no rain in the Pacific northwest?) so we didn't spend a ton of time in the house, although the kids did enjoy using the hot tub a few times. Another benefit was the grass runway just outside. We saw many small airplanes taking off and landing, which the kids and adults both enjoyed watching. Hurricane Ridge is about 35 miles away and the rest of Olympic is not too far to drive. Sequim is a nice town and we happened to be there during Lavender Fest (which I also recommend). The Dungeness spit is a 2 mile drive away and worth checking out. To sum up, the house is awesome and Bob was a gracious host. We would book again if we come back to the area. Thank you."

  • Wonderful Property!

"We had a wonderful stay at the Compass Rose House. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, watching for deer, fishing for blue gill and bass, taking daily hikes in the Olympic National Park, and ending each night with s'mores around the fir pit. We had a lovely stay here and would happily return again."

  • Was just as described and exactly what we wanted

"A friend and I stayed there to celebrate our retirements. We wanted a location that was very quiet and private but also very close to town with amenities like restaurants, shopping and theaters. Guest Nest was this and more. The cottage was exceptionally well maintained and clean. The kitchen was more than fully equipped and the little extras like coffee and a basket of granola bars and trail mix were especially nice. We didn't use the Apple TV very much but it had a good selection of choices if we had wanted to watch it. Both beds were very comfortable and the walk-in shower was just what we wanted. We are definitely planning on staying at the Guest Nest again the next time we are in Port Townsend."
