  • Serenity now

"This lake house is lovely, well maintained and well situated with tranquil views. I really appreciated the attention to details. The owner's correspondence, notes and literature made trip planning a breeze. And as the cook in the family, I really appreciated and took advantage of things like the olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided in the kitchen. It was so very relaxing to return to the lake house at the end of a long day to drink in the views and enjoy the silence. And the morning light on the lake and mountain as the opening scene of each day was a perfect beginning. Terrific help and hospitality throughout the entire experience."

  • One of the most beautiful places we have ever been

"Surroundings: Incredible. The cottage is on a clear teal lake with mountains surrounding it and reflecting into the water. Truly gorgeous with a great view from the top deck, table and chairs half-way down, and the dock. We enjoyed the kayak and took it around the whole lake (1.5-2 hours). It was fun to check out the other homes on the lake while kayaking as they are very unique. Very cool spot! Location: Great for visiting Olympic National Park. Not far from the Hoh Rain forest, Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, and other hot spots that we planned to visit. There's a small general store nearby that was pretty limited and there are normal/large grocery stores in Port Angeles fairly close. The cottage: Comfortable bed, full kitchen, grill (which we used 3 times while there, nice to have), tv/internet, lots of outdoor seating (as above). Very comfy and couldn't have asked for much more. I think others already mentioned the water pressure in the kitchen sink is weak, also the burn ban was unfortunate as we could not have a fire outside in the summer per the fire department. We had no problems so did not need to contact Tammy while we were there. Her instructions for finding it and getting in were clear. Overall: Five stars all the way! Enjoy your stay at Lake Sutherland :)"

  • Wonderful home that is perfect for a family get away

"This home and owner were wonderful to work with. The house is perfect for a relaxing trip, exploring the area or anything you want. A girls weekend, family gathering. We enjoyed every bit of our trip here and would definitely rent this house again if we come back. The views are amazing and different each day. i love the quiet mornings which seemed to be further away from all the boat activity in the morning."

  • Comfortable, Spotless and Adorable!

"We rented this property on Lake Sutherland as a "base camp" so that we could do day hikes around the Olympic Parks then to come back and rest up. Man, was it way more than that!! We had a hard time leaving for our hikes! The Falls is so comfy and well appointed. Julie has thought of every convenience you would want for your stay, however long or short. We cooked meals everyday, had coffee while relaxing on the deck in the morning and a little wine while watching a movie. The place is clean, cozy, well decorated and...We will definitely be back!!"
