  • Serenity plus!

"Having searched for the "perfect cabin" for months, we spotted this one early on but kept searching and kept going back to it and we're so glad we did. We stayed for 4 nights and wished we had longer as the cabin was as enchanting as the view from the deck. The weather was nothing less than perfect and on Tuesday we never left the confines of the deck chairs all day. We were perfectly content to watch the tide come in and go back out. We also were fortunate enough to witness 6 killer whales about 1/4 mile off the beach as they fed on they're prey. Wednesday there were several sea lions sleeping on the raft right in front of the cabin when we had our morning coffee on the deck. All in all, a great stay, perfect cabin, perfect hosts, perfect weather, we can't wait to go back, respectfully, Tim and Margie"

  • Lovely and in a great location for outdoor activities!

"My sister and I rented the cabin for two days for a sisters getaway weekend. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. It had all the amenities of home but also had an outdoorsy feel. One side is all windows, and it was especially nice to sit in the loft on the chair with a cup of coffee and look out into the woods. There was plenty of stocked and dry wood for use in the fire pit, and we had a very nice camp fire one night. It is less than 10 minutes to town and very close to all kinds of trails and outdoor activities. Everything in the cabin is very thoughtfully arranged. There were lots of spices available, and there were plenty of pots and pans to make a great meal. The IGA in Hoodsport is a smaller grocery store, but certainly has all the trappings to make a yummy dinner. It's not a store with a great organics section, so if you're into that kind of thing, be sure to shop before Hoodsport. They do have a stereo-typically Washington good beer selection. :-) The shops there were cute and the coffee shop was marvelous. I will say that if you forget something like a towel, Hoodsport didn't have them. Peggy sends out great instructions and was super to rent from. All in all, I could not have asked for a better place to enjoy each others company."

  • Best place to stay for a dive trip to Hood Canal

"The house is well equipped and super comfy. Large flat screen TVs, lots of DVDs, great kitchen, great dining area for the group to sit together and talk about the day's diving. An extremely well designed dive shed with place for at least 10 divers to gear up, a heated drying room for the gear, a hot tub, the list goes on and on and on. Oh, and there is a really nice dive park right in front of the house (currently with a GPO and a wolf eel in residence), and many other of the Hood Canal Western Shore highlight dive sites are close by (e.g. Sund Rock). The local dive shop is literally within walking distance. It's simply perfect for divers. The owner is amazing to work with - all I can say is that I LOVE this place. Can't wait to be back."
